The third installment to the eagerly-awaited Marvel Cinematic Universe-version of Deadpool is underway. Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool) was spotted on location in the United Kingdom filming what appeared to be a car crash sequence. The high-profile star had a stunt double in tow in the full red-and-black suit on display.

Deadpool (2016) and Deadpool 2 (2018) were both filmed in Reynolds’ hometown of Vancouver, Canada. Deadpool fans have speculatthe reason fored that the UK location change was so that Reynolds could better handle his responsibilities managing Wrexham AFC, which he acquired with fellow actor, Rob McElhenney (Always Sunny in Philadelphia) in 2021.

Ryan Reynolds, 46, has reprised his role as Wade Wilson, the loveable mercenary mutant once again. He first portrayed the character in the critically-condemned, X-Men Origins: Wolverine in 2009. Then, campaigned for years to produce and star in a solo project for the celebrated character. The studio formerly known as, 20th Century Fox, had no faith in a R-rated comic book movie at the time, but gave Reynolds and his team a pitiful some of money to make a short test film.

Soon afterwards, a suspicious leak of the test footage occurred in 2014 right before San Diego Comic-Con. Fans viewed it and blew up social media demanding that the film be made post haste. It was and proceeded to gross over $782 million at the box office with a $58 million budget. The second movie went on to gross even more with $785 million worldwide.

Since Disney acquired 20th Century Fox, many fans have been waiting when and how Deadpool would make his reemergence into this Marvel Universe. While that has yet to be revealed, it is exciting to see Reynolds don the suit again. Even more promising is that Hugh Jackman also plans to reprise his role as Wolverine in Deadpool 3.

Their collaboration was announced last year with a teaser video confirming their team-up. There has been no further updates as to the plot or any additional big X-Men appearances, but Marvel fans must love seeing these set photos more than Deadpool loves breaking the fourth wall.
