The only ones talking superhero fatigue are those who didn’t like them anyway and those WRITING about it. We fans are not fatigued by it at all and are waiting for the next ones.

    1. Robert

They’ve flooded the market and it’s too much, even for us fans. 😛

THERE IS ZERO FATIGUE ON THIS SIDE OF THE SCREEN. EXASPERATION AT THE PROFITEERING, UNDERDEVELOPED STORYLINES & CHARACTERS, AND YES, WE WANT TO SEE OUR CINEMATIC HEROES ON & OFF SCREEN ALA CLAYTON MOORE – SO WE NEED DISNEY TO EMBRACE THE FAN WORLD OF CONVENTIONS WITH MORE THAN SNEAK PEAK TRAILERS. STREAM COMICON, ETC. FOR THE REST OF US! AND FOR GOODNESS SAKE EMBRACE AFFORDABLE MERCH! I GO TO THE CINEMA TO ESCAPE – AND MERCH ARE MY PROPS & COSTUME LOVE!
      EVERY OFF-SCREEN JEDI WANTS A LIGHTSABER & A MF TEE-SHIRT MORE THAN A $12 POPCORN & $8 COCA COLA! (MF = MILENNIAL FALCON)
DISNEY, RESCUE & INVEST IN THE CINEMARKS!
MY CINEMA HAPPENS ON BIG SCREENS WITH BIG SOUND SYSTEMS. SMALL SCREENS MAKE MY NECK & EYES SORE – AND THE DINKY SOUND – EVEN WITH $$$ EARBUDS PALE IN COMPARISON TO NEGLECTED MOVIE THEATRES! I GO TO SEE MY DISNEY FILM, I WANT TO SEE A DISNEY STORE WITH MERCH & REAL SNACKS (COKE IN A COLLECTIBLE CUP!) AND A DISNEY THEMED ARCADE (RDJ – WELCOME TO THE FUTURE – BROUGHT TO YOU BY STARK INDUSTRIES!) WHERE WORKING FAMILIES AND ADULT KIDS AT HEART CAN ESCAPE & GET OUR INNER GEEK ON. A PLACE WHERE ALL KINDS OF FOLKS MIX & MINGLE – AND LEARN TO GET ALONG! JUST IMAGINE ALL THE CREATIVES THAT COULD BE EMPLOYED TO REVIVE “WORLD EXPOS” OF FUN & LEARNING AT OUR LOCAL CINEMAS – IT’S A DREAM I HAVE. DISNEY ONCE HAD THAT DREAM….

The problem isn’t superhero fatigue: the problem is bad story fatigue, and it has infected much more than the superhero genre.

People are tired of getting mediocre stories written by people with the writing skill of a 2nd grader who only got the job because they had the right political views, and not because they have a love for the source material. We’re tired of showrunners saying that these movies aren’t for the fans, or that fans need to let go of canon, or that fans are toxic for wanting them to stay true to the originals. These are all statements that the people backing these shows and movies have made in response to the criticism.

The Witcher, Shadow and Bone, Marvel, DC, Star Wars, and so on are all contaminated with bad writers that have the opportunity to play with someone else’s toys, and they think that gives them free reign to change everything to fit their image.

That’s what people are sick of, not superheroes. Invincible and The Boys are great examples of that.

Thank you Marco for your astute observation.
Too much emphasis on agenda and world indoctrination has ruined the current generation of writers. I will NEVER watch current new developments and purchase old comics, movies, graphic novels and Anime. Disney should sell its properties and give others a shot. They’ve blown their chance.

💯 Bob. I am not fatigued by Marvel films. I’m fatigued by inflation. I am not going to the movies to see Ant man, but I will go to watch GOTG 3 and Wakanda Forever. I have to pick and choose because to go to the movies is now 24.99 per ticket in NYC, depending on when I go. There’s just some movies I just won’t chase. Ant Man is one of them. I did watch it when it came to Disney+

      1. Nate C

TL, you’ve basically read my mind. I have to pick and choose and this inflation is something I wished I could catch a break from. And as I was said by Marco bad story line fatigue. I spend money on a horrible writer’s work and it definitely makes me reluctant to spend that $20+ bucks (multiplied by 5 members in my family plus snacks) Yea the inflation can definitely burn you out..

    7. Jason

James Gunn said it best: the fatigue isn’t about superheroes, it’s about lazy storytelling that emphasizes spectacle over character.

    8. Jay

I loved them up till end game… I have marvel fatigue… Maybe it’s just 💩 movie fatigue.

  2. Asa-Punk

It’s not superhero fatigue it’s lame, shallow characters used in repetitive & predictable plots. The early MCU was driven by good characters & acting where story matteredore than special effects & making X ammount of $ opening weekend. Give fans better stories with characters written & acted better and things will be fine.

  3. Suzy

My only issue is that after Endgame, it feels off to not have interaction with multiple superheroes when the threat is so huge. Even though some of the individual movies have been good, it’s still feels like a let down. I will still watch and want to see more, but they have to up their game with the storylines.

  4. Obi-Wan

No super hero fatigue. Craps made ul by all the non super hero/comic “fans” now prssent…
Those fans who show up because it’s the cool thing to do and critics who complain about anything that’s not a boring artistic peice of dramatic crap can go away and the money super hero films will stay the same and audience scores will go up. Because actual fans enjoy them and would go see them more then once if I didn’t have to deal with pretentious tools talking through the movie about how they dislike the cinematography…

  5. RickTR

If it was the Original Avengers, I’d be excited. But I have no interest in the race-swapped and sex-swapped Avengers they have lined up. Iron Man is a teenage black girl, Thor and Hawkeye are women, Captain America is an old black man and Brie Larson? No thanks.

    1. Dizzle

Going to guess that you’re not that familiar with the storylines and characters in the comics because Ironheart is a distinct character from Iron Man, Jane Foster has been the Mighty Thor before, Sam Wilson was Captain America at one time, and Carol Danvers took the mantle of Captain Marvel after Mar-Vell died. All of this happened in the comics years before Disney execs thought of including them in movies so it’s not a new thing.

      1. Marco

It’s not a new thing, but it did happen as a result of a massive “diversity” push. Jane Foster as Thor didn’t sell that well, and Ironheart did even worse. In fact, the only character from that series of “diversity” pushes that ended up doing well was Miles Morales.

As for Carol Danvers, yes she was Captain Marvel before… AFTER other people had already donned the mantle. They jumped straight into Captain Marvel and did so with a stupid reason behind her powers to make her seem more powerful. They also changed up her personality, which doesn’t do her any favors.

Marvel is going to get the the exact same treatment they did back in the day when they started pushing all of these “diversity” characters on people: get woke go broke. Stop focusing on skin color and other arbitrary things and make good characters. Nobody complained about Black Panther when he showed up in the comcis, because him being black isn’t an issue. He’s a complete character, and a good character, and his skin color is an arbitrary characteristic as it should be. If we wrote straight, white, male characters like these people wrote gay, black, and female characters, there would be an outrage.

      2. Mike

Actually, Carol Danvers was not the second Captain Marvel. Monica Rambeau was.

    2. jae

guess you don’t read the comics. Those characters actually took the original places.

  6. Vida

    I’m ready for a break!
I’d love to take time to learn more about individual MCU members like the Marvels. I’d love to see more of Agent Carter and Agents of Shield!
I grew up in the Star Trek…Star Wars era. I read comics but I knew NOTHING about the MCU! As a more mature viewer….give me some time to take breath…and savor the new characters I have not met yet! It has been a bit of a fast pace ride the last few years! But….I am hooked!

  7. Aaron

I think I’ll be cancelling Disney plus if they go on a hiatus.

    1. Dizzle

Why? Movies take a while to come out anyway and they’re not cancelling all MCU content, just postponing currently planned movies. Also, if the only reason you have Disney+ is for MCU content, you’re wasting your money regardless because even if they didn’t postpone anything, you’d still paying for a subscription for months if not longer just to gain access to a new movie you could’ve paid a fraction of the cost for to see in theaters. Unless you watch other stuff on Disney+, you’re better off cancelling until there’s more content, renewing your subscription, watch the backlogged content, then cancel again.

  8. siempre

Disney’s issue is it goes woke and has actors who hate the fans. Jackson ,during an interview to promote his show on Disney + called the fans” rednecks”. There is not super hero fatigue, but there is a huge section if fans fatigued of being insulted.

    1. Dizzle

Marvel was “woke” in the comics too so it makes sense adaptations would be the same and plenty of actors have disliked fans across the decades so it’s nothing new, nor even close to exclusive to the MCU or Disney in general.

  9. Steve

    2 quick things:
    1) Jonathan Majors didn’t “create” a legal situation, unless calling the police because you got attacked makes one “create” the situation.
    2) What films got canceled? Either I missed it or you didn’t name them.

  10. I totally agree with Bob its the idiots who don’t like Marvel in the 1st place who are complaining. I want more n I want it noe

  11. Jacob Allen

That’s horrible! There’s no going wrong with Marvel when it’s within the cinematic universe, or whatever is decent and rated PG or PG-13 outside of the cinematic universe.

  12. Bud

Hollywood is dead. They can’t make a movie right now without it being a superhero movie and we all are tired of it. Hollywood is now just a joke, because they went black and woke, and I hope they all go broke. All they put out is crap. I’m done watching movies and TV shows that are scripted even reality shows are even worse than the movies they are putting on. It’s just ridiculous!!!
    BUT THATS ONLY MY OPINION.!

  13. Dc

I think they really need to discuss what they’re doing. The last Thor love and thunder was the worst movie. I’ve seen come out of the Marvel series.

  14. phil davis

Just make good NON_WOKE movies. It is not that hard.
