I guess they are concerned they will have another situation like Disney World where there a four hour wait AFTER the park closed.

  2. Mike

How about changing the title to reflect the guest who do now have reservations will not be able to ride Splash Mountain.

  3. Ben Cook

Very disappointed. I will not ride the new ride. They should not have went woke and shut down splash mountain. Build the new ride and then see which ride more people go on. My guess is splash mountain will win.

Uncle Remus is the most.intelligent person in the movie. Cry racist for dumb white actors.

  4. Devo

    Shame shame shame.
    Disney trying to erase history.

You mean like Ron DeSantis in Florida?

  5. Adina Long

Lol lol lol I just can’t….shouldn’t have gone woke. Do you some of speak without knowledge? Rhetorical, no need to answer if you don’t know what the word means. And OMG with the grab title. Is this site that desperate for views.

    1. Manny

@Adina the problem is the word “woke” has become code switch for cowards who use it as a substitute for the “N” word or spic.

      1. Literally the most tardid thing I’ve read this year. Thanks for killing my brain cells.

I am sure they were dead long before you read that. Just based on your deprecated term for special needs people.

Wrong move on Disney’ part. They are alienating the most loyal customers.

  7. They should have just updated the ride and never mentioned anything about the faux history on it. It’s an old ride. They could have easily said they were retiring it since they hit their 50th and needed to change it because it would be cheaper than constant repairs. There was no reason to make it a social statement. This way the wokester hipster dufuses could be happy it was changed and the anti woke crowd would have just thought it was a new ride. Seriously businesses need to keep out of politics, it never works and so far the center left, center and right seem to be slamming companies WAY harder in boycotts than the far left is. Honestly I think businesses are doing this to see where their biggest consumer base lies and the government can see which voter base is larger right now and everyone just keeps buying in.

Imagine being this upset about a kids ride. Grow up snowflake

No one is excited about TBA except for the 1% who cried about a ride. A ride no one had an issue with for the last 30+ years (not even Disney themselves who celebrated it just a few years ago). The fake outrage over its “controversial” theme is unreal.

Lol. Wake up everyone!!!!! Disney is doing this in a clever scheme to sell more tickets. Look at their movies and all the controversy with race swapping and implementing today’s politically correct ideals into their films and tv shows. All the fuss is generating publicity which ignites curiosity and culminates in free press while Disney sells more tickets.
This FOMO tactic is just that!!! Notice how the article states that single full paid admissions can still experience the ride before it closes. This new Disney is honing in on woke agendas to simply sell more tickets.

Lol. Wake up people. This FOMO strategy is just that. Notice how the article states that full paid general admission is still available. The woke agenda that stirs up controversy is being used by Disney to ignite curiosity which in turns sells more tickets. The new Little Mermaid race swap has generated so much controversy to Disney’s delight. The forthcoming Indiana Jones 5 is igniting wars amongst fans because the new film will show Indy as a broken old man while his God daughter who is much wiser, grittier, and has the know how to save the day. All this is cleverly being used by Disney to sell tickets. People, wake up!!!!

Should’ve left Splash Mountain alone and made a whole new ride and restaurant (Pirates of the Carribean/Blue Bayou) themed around Tiana. At least TBA will be set in the right ‘land’ of New Orleans Square at Disneyland, unlike its counterpart at Magic Kingdom.
