Other than the uglier-than-anybody-though-possible infrastructure (the Stargate and tacos), for me, the real problem with Harmonious was the content. This is Epcot, and they thought they could just jam in some snippets from their animated films and that would tell some kind of story? Weak sauce.
This need of Iger’s to cram Disney’s existing IP into every possible nook and cranny within WDW is tiresome. The Contemporary resort did not need an Incredibles makeover. Lame. Nor the Polynesian with its Moana makeover. Nor did a “Big Bang” roller coaster need to have the Guardians of the Galaxy crammed into it. They add nothing. Etc.
Disney needs to stop cramming its existing IP into everything. It needs to create original attractions. Build me a ride that I’ve never seen before. Or at least one with a story I don’t already know. Please. Original stories.
