Yes the magic is dwindling….but that has been going on for a long time, at a slow pace, but more noticeable every year.

Understanding is key to this dilema.. The main cause of attitude from cast members is the supervisors, mid level management. Supervisors are cast members who walk around in business casual with garbage pick up device, and ear pieces. A lot of the disappearance of the magic is a result feom these supervisors who are better suited to work at retailers like Walmart, Target or grocery stores.

To be fair, yes there are cast members, hourly who also exhibit attitude, and just no interest in being there outside of the paycheck.

On part of the Disney Company, Traditions, training for new cast members, was reduced from three days to one. The Disney look also relaxed its guidelines allowing for beards and tattoos. You can lead a horse to water but cant make em drink, the old saying is.

Then its the issue of the locals, cast members, who do not see Disneyworld or Disneyland the way tourists do. To locals its just another service industry job.

A lot of cast members are not well endowed iin Disney history, knowledge of where and how to get to different areas in the resorts.

A good example of blatant disrespect is from cast members of the Disney stores. There are so many stories of them being awful in demeanor, and guest service, bullying in nature, just horrid service at multiple stores.

After the pandemic, yes we are all tired, and less tolerable of others actions, attitudes, and service toward others. So yes this has made it clear as day at WDW and DLR that it isnt how it used to be, which is a shame.

Yes, entitlted, priviledged tourists/guests add into the mix as well.

Maybe some day it will go back to the way it was. Two steps back to go one step forwars, but always keep moving forward.
