Using sophisticated technology initially developed for flight simulation and training, Imagineers could take Guests on an epic journey past the Endor moon and beyond! Since its opening in 1987, Star Tours has been an incredible experience for Star Wars fans, rivaled only by its descendants in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
Star Tours is possibly one of the most iconic and beloved rides within Disney Parks. Located in Disneyland Resort at Tomorrowland and the Walt Disney World Resort in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the motion simulator initially debuted in 1987. What can be labeled as the “original” Star Wars experience will now receive a facelift and another new update to this popular attraction.
During the 2023 Star Wars Celebration Europe, we learned that brand new scenes will come to Star Tours in 2024.
At this year’s Star Wars Celebration Europe, Scott Trowbridge referenced during his panel that there will be locations from the new footage featured at the convention seen over the weekend as potential places Star Tours could go.
