Zach, I can appreciate your dreaming of new concepts and ideas.

Disney World and Disneyland don’t need saving. Disney+, on the other hand, is another matter. Let’s just hope Disney+ and Fox don’t strangle Disney and kill the Disney Parks right along with it.

Disney is way too woke and PC to do anything edgy

A park that contained “old” Disney – or what many over the age of 45 enjoyed – would be very popular. It has the potential to be less crowded, less noisy, but still bring in plenty of money for Disney.

Get over that term “woke”. It doesn’t mean what you are being brought to believe. “Woke” is being aware of things going on around you. I am woke, because I am aware of everything around me. It is a very good thing to be woke. Otherwise you are just living under a rock.

      1. Wes

Hate to break it to you, you won’t identify as “woke” if you were aware about what’s actually going on lol

  4. Walt’s Ghost

It will find a way to be woke. The backstories of the villains. Ursula was a closeted lesbian. Hades spent his childhood sneaking into his mom’s dresser to wear her lingerie. That sort of thing. Expect live action films in the future to support the park.

      Totally agree!

They should repurpose the Wide World of Sports area into the 5th gate. Combine Villains and old time Disney into two areas! Something for everyone!! I guess that’s just a pipe dream

  6. Gary

They just had better keep to Walt’s ideas!

  7. I think a villains land would be great. It could be geared to those that are older. Connect it to Fantasy Land.

A Villians park is a great idea. Love to see it if done right. Make it a little scary. Stop putting padding on everything. Children are more resilient than you think. Why do you think 7 Dwarfs Mine Train and Haunted Mansion of fan favorites?
And enough with tge “Woke” stuff. People who use that in their argument have absolutely no idea what means and cannot define it.

I would love to see a Disney park featuring all of the discontinued rides. I’d gave anything just to ride Horizons again.

    They’ll never do it.
They haven’t done the most obvious thing since they started Disney + … put the old Walt Disney TV shows, Zorro & all Mickey Mouse Clubs on the service.
I DON’T SUBSCRIBE BECAUSE THOSE SHOWS ARE ABSENT! Without my generation, there woyld be NO DISNEY at all!

Seriously! So over at this!! Disney disgusts me, what they have become! 🤮🤮

  11. If Disney builds any new parks they ought to be totally separate from the one already built.
Like in Texas or New Mexico.

Why would they do that? You’re talking $100s of billions in land acquisitions, infrastructure upgrades, learning new climates for engineering materials, uses, methods, etc. Disney has thousands of acres of land in Florida earmarked for park expansions.

Building a new park in a different state would be a large undertaking of company money in a recession where a new gate at an existing resort would be cost effective.

I am 67 and been to WDW a min of 40 times since it opened.
I am a Disney Villian fanatic. I just returned from there. This is the first time ever I did not visit MK. I have to use a scooter now and MK is just over crowded. I would love to see something new. I’d love to see them just bring back a Villian store like they used to have. Studios was once a comfortable place for a little older crowd. They have now removed everything I once enjoyed.
I’m sure I’ll never live to see an additional park but love for everything WDW will never change.

  13. Abby

I think that any kind of new theme park is long overdue at WDW. In fact, I could think of some rides, and maybe attractions that are in some of the parks now that should be in their own park. But that is just my opinion.

  14. Ron Northcutt

Much of early Disneyland Paris was more for adults. And I was sad when WDW removed ALIEN ENCOUNTER. Definitely not for kids and even warned parents about kids not being suited to the experience. Disney parks are more enjoyable without kids even though I love taking my grandson along.

This won’t happen for the same reasons pleasure island no longer exists:
    – An “older crowd” results in teens getting dropped off daily during local spring breaks and vacations, filling the park to capacity yet spending no money. If you have been to the parks in CA you’re well aware of this issue
    – With a large unsupervised teen/tween crowd the mischief level increases tenfold, graffiti, loitering, shoplifting don’t create the environment travelers want to be around.
    – It’s stepping down the Disney experience to be compaired with parks like six flags, why would Disney ever want to do that? They are working to define themselves as a premium product.

Expect prices to rise and capacity to drop as the middle-class gets prices out. Will it be a nice experience to visit a park with less people, yes – but expect the money they make to stay the same.
