I remember being a kid, and how special it makes you feel when a character kinda singles you out, or even having an interaction where you speak with a Cast Member, and you become alive as a recognized individual, instead of just another one in the crowd…
Yet, with the many people who may be seen each day, personal interaction is actually a small percentage of total population in the park
The more days you go, the more likelihood there will be to have a personal interaction…
Parade characters cannot stop and give everyone special time, as they must keep up with the moving parade.
Many times characters see someone reaching out to them; other times they don’t.
It is unlikely a character would clearly identify a print on a shirt to be anything different as compared to just another Disney shirt in Disney world.
While we all like to be special, it is not always realistic.
I was 58 years old and was wearing a shirt that said “If Found Return To Gaston” When Gaston say it he could not stop laughig and told me he would make sure I never got los. I loved him so much when he told me that. My magic moment wi Gaston.
Every kid is special. Kids have a spirit of wonder and imagination. I have zero problem with Disney making visits for kids extra special. Watching a child react to things like this is priceless. Spoiled adults who seek attention and think they are the center of the world – not so much.
What kind of sorry piece of trash person would say something like that I swear to God I honestly hope that woman gets hit by a bus for saying that about that kid that’s something he’s going to remember for the rest of his life is that one character came out there and gave him a hug and somebody tried to take that away from him there’s not very many great wonderful things that happen in most people’s life so trying to take that away from that kid was the most effed up saying I can imagine and that person should be put in prison if not beat for that
Wait. Disney is all about feeling special and magical. Just because some bully doesn’t ever feel special or love from their parents, doesn’t mean they have to take it out on people, especially children, that have loving parents.
There are some truely vile people about, they have ugly personalities,
If I was the mother I would steer well clear of places such as tiktok.
She was proud of her son and proud of the moment ,why can’t people just be nice or don’t say anything if they can’t be?
It was about a child, why would anyone not be happy for him?….maybe that’s just me.
Why are people so effing terrible? I cannot imagine being so miserable in life that I actually went out of my way to shovel that misery onto others. When kids draw a horse, you’re lucky you can even tell it has legs, yet you still tell them it’s the most beautiful horse you’ve ever seen. Why? Because it’s their imagination and their creativity you are nurturing. If that little boy thought he looked like his favorite character, then he did and obviously so did that character. The people with the negative comments had really crappy parents and a very very sad childhood.
Some people are just miserable. And feel they need everyone to be miserable like them.
I teach my child to never steal the smile from someone else’s face. This person should take this advice.
That kid is special. He was able to get a parade character to break ranks and come over to him. That kid will remember that for the rest of his days. He also gave the kids next to him a thrill as that character was so close to them.
The adults who chastise the kid are envious they were unable to pull off such a feat. The adults making negative comments should just stay home if they can’t handle someone else’s happiness.
Too many Debbydowners in this World. All the kid did was wear a Happy shirt and got noticed, probably the biggest thing in his day to be noticed by the character. What a great memory to grow up with.
My family will be taking our 3rd Disney trip in May and a lot of it has to do with the cast interactions.
Our first trip was to Disneyland during the pandemic, there wasn’t much for character interaction at all and it really made it feel like something was missing. Last year we went to DisneyWorld and the cast made it very special.
My son had just turned 4 and he lit up seeing Olaf. There were multiple hugs and it was just such a wholesome and warm experience. Stormtroopers told him he was trouble and he laughed. Darth Vader greeted us and noticed my wife and I wearing Han Solo and Princess Leia shirts, he looked down to my son and said “I find your choice in company…disappointing”. We recieved two “gifts from Mickey” when making purchases. The bus drivers gave tokens and pins and were super friendly. I think it takes a very special person to work at the Disney Parks.
At the end of the day we take our children to Disney for them to feel special and to have a magical experience. You can call that lame or cliche or whatever you’d like. But it’s the truth. Every child should feel special at Disney, and I think the cast and staff do a wonderful job of making that a reality.
I get that the world is tough and times are hard, but we all deserve a little joy and positivity in life, especially children. Let them be happy.
Just a big thank you to all those who said every kid is special. Even those of us who are well past “kid” are special. Getting an impromptu hug or high five from a character is the highlight of a child’s trip. Stop being mean, people.
22 years ago, we took my daughter to Dland. Her fav character was Belle. So that was the costume ahe chose. The next day, we did her hair and got her all dressed up in her outfit, to spend the day at the park. We ran into Belle herself and Belle took special notice. She gave her special attention which made my girls day. Later during story time( which is mow where they have the Princess salon) Belle was doing the story and she spotted my daughter, called her up to her, introduced her and had her sit with her for the duration of the story. Was a MAGICAL day and if people are so ignorant as to bad mouth a mother or child for wanting to experience a special moment, then they have forgotten the magic of Dland.
Your child and every child or person is special and the “MAGIC” of Disney is and always will be the cast members. I’ve had magical experiences with both my son (now 33, with Mickey and Minnie as they came out of a side door where we just happened to be standing) and my nephew (now 16, with Tigger and Pooh as they held my nephew’s hand and walked him through the park as they were exiting a meet/greet) at WDW thanks to wonderful cast members and characters. If you haven’t experienced the magic of Disney, maybe it is you??? Not the wonderful cast and characters! Does it happen every time? Of course not, but when it does for a child, adult or family…you never forget it. 🤩
Hi, it’s me Dani 🙂 I wasn’t super bothered by negative comments because this video made my heart so so so happy. I’ve never been viral before so I suppose that’s a part of it. Just an odd place for people to direct it. I deleted a bunch of random comments saying your kid is not special because it’s so silly to comment that. I’ve never met a human who isn’t special. What a weird statement. But Disney magic is real. And I won’t stop experiencing it or being excited about it
Why do people feel the need to always put their lives all over tik tok just to get likes from strangers all over the world it’s true no one cares about your trip

Expectations should meet the circumstances.

Thank you. I can’t believe there are “adults” out there who would knowingly hurt an innocent child. But hurting the mom is hurting the child.

What kind of mother would ever say such a hateful thing? Here’s a child having fun. You think he’s not special? Every child is special – even yours.

Imagine, an adult getting jealous over a child. There’s all kinds of something wrong. There’s no need to be that petty.
