I’m so sick of hearing this garbage. What it boils down to is Disney ignored thousands of fans and caved in to a loud minority. They got rid of a classic and are gonna replace it with cheap screens. Just wait and see!

Screens is all they know because they grew up with screens. Disney contracts out and they themselves don’t even know what to do anymore where animatronics is concerned. It’s all contracted out. Which is why it’s so poorly maintained after installation.

That movie was made in 1946. How many people actually remember that movie and how many remember what songs that had in it. Disney’s actions are totally ridiculous.

Why change the name? The name Splash Mountain describes the ride, not the theme. I am looking forward to a Tiana theme… I loved the movie. But Splash Mountain should stay Splash Mountain.

While I agree the theme needed to be changed I rather they ha gone with The Jungle Book theme over Tiana. And while the tone of Song of the South is in hindsight is a bit racist Zipidy doo dah to me is a positive song.

  5. I remember the first time I ever saw the movie! As a child I loved every part of it especially the zippidy do dah song! It was such a happy tune! I have searched for years for a copy of the movie and haven’t been successful. It’s a shame Disney would stoop so low as try to erase such a happy icon! I loved Uncle Remus!!
