… phones aren’t banned on Tron. There’s literally a spot to put them in the vehicle. Just like any coaster however, you will be asked to put it away before launch. The lockers are for oversized items that cannot be secured to the body, not phones. Do you guys do any research before posting these articles? It’s embarrassing for you at this point.

    1. @J..im not here to argue but there are people who will eventually use the phone to take pictures and drop their phone which will cause a problem in the long run,its a never fail situation every time.

If Disney Guests can’t abide by the rules, for example using cell phones on rides then Disney should have the right to make changes. It’s always the same Guests that ruin things for Guests that do the right thing. We pay enough to go to the parks so Please everyone abide by the rules. Everyone is there to have a Magical day and to be safe.

I was watching a YouTube video from a popular page (Provost) and they had the perfect way to film Tron. They used the phone till they got on. After putting said phone in the compartment, they continued to film using a camera strapped securely to his chest via a harness. I’ve said before that I used to film rides with a camcorder back in the day. That had a strap preventing me from dropping it. Phones don’t have that. If you are going to film, safety first.

You can get a dry bag and have your phone hanging from your neck and you wouldn’t drop it.

My question….if Disney starts to force the use of lockers, will they take responsibility for any thefts that may result ? It’s one thing to put your things in a locker because you want to. Your choice is also your risk that you’re willing to take.
That said, if you’re not given the choice, then Disney had better take responsibility for any losses.

I understand safety may be involved…I get it. But too many places say that something is required but then will take no responsibility if something is lost due to that requirement. I’m just saying that, if Disney may require items to be put in lockers, fine….as long as they also take the responsibility of potential loss of belongings.

Cast members are posted on both sides of the lockers preventing any shady business there… I do think the compartment on the light cycle should lock tho to prevent any accidents

Their house, their rules. Universal isn’t responsible for your items, why should Disney be? There would be so many issues, like how will you prove that the $1000 in cash was even in the locker in the 1st place? Fraud would be rampant. If you’re worried about someone getting in your locker…… In Universal there was an error and I couldn’t get into my locker. The attendant wouldn’t let me take anything until I could verify with an ID. That said, if you don’t want to stow your items, don’t ride the ride. It’s not your park to make decisions.

See at Disney World I like taking my stuffed deathclaw on all of the rides with me when I go and I don’t have to buy anything there to carry around with me. So does that mean I have to put my deathclaw in a locker and not bring her on the ride with me anymore?

There’s no way to hold anything on Tron

Disney is just out of control anymore. They have set up all of their services REQUIRING the use of a cellphone. Now, they want to BAN the use of those same cellphones that they are basically requiring people use while in their expensive parks. Used to be a huge Disney fan. Not any more. Won’t go back. It’s just become ridiculous and too complicated.

The banning of cellphones are when on a ride, not when in the park.

A quick look on TikTok shows that cel phone ban is not being adhered to on Tron

I really wish they would restrict a lot of the vloggers. I’m sorry but I don’t want to hear your spiel as you are on an attraction filming or slowly filming through the park. I don’t get to WDW as much as I used to and I really want to enjoy the parks and I want all first time park goers to enjoy the parks. I’m just really tired of them being everywhere’s why are there so many?

A lot of vloggers make money on YouTube giving advice on Disney parks, cruises and resorts info you can use while your there. Tron cell phone ban is because most people drop them on the ride even though they have a netting below the track. My friend was leaving the ride when a cell phone hit her in the head. I agree the cellphones should be banned on the ride.

Cell phones need to be put away period when on any ride! About time I say!!!

  11. Fuzzy Bear

Dropped cellphones should not be returned but crushed and recycled for precious metals.

There isn’t a ban or mandatory lockers. I went on it multiple times Monday and asked specifically. “Anything bigger that’ll a cell phone has to go in lockers. In fact I filmed the whole way up to getting on the line and even asked if I could take pictures. Know what you’re talking about

I don’t have a problem with the cellphone ban. My issue is sorta with another of the rules. If I am an “adult” at age 10 for buying tickets, why do I have to enter the park with someone 14 or older? I have no problem with the requirement, but ticketing as an adult shouldn’t begin until 14.
