I think if he would reach out to more guest & listen to what they like and also listen to what they don’t like instead of those that sit behind a desk. It used to be family friendly, a place where you look forward to going. Now it’s so stressful to plan a trip. Especially those who are not good at computers. I have been going to disney world 3-4 times a year for almost 40 years. Now it’s once a year if I am lucky. Changes are not always good. Thank you!!

I’ve gone most every year since 1999 and now that my family has grown up. I just couldn’t almost justify the tickets, food, and the gift novelties now. Don’t know if I could afford. Walt wanted this for family fun and breaking the bank.

The current Disney experience is no where near what it was years ago. With everything happening at Disney that is really not Disney like. Disney pricing families to where they can no longer afford to go and all the hoops you have to jump through now. Disney getting into politics which is not Disney’s business, Woke agenda ” which is going to backfire on them bigtime” Veterans & Active duty ” are passing the word to others who have kids, grandkids & greatgrandkids who are Disney fans. So leadership needs to get on the ball and go back to Walt’s & Roy’s agenda & stay there!!!

I forgot to say all military services!

  2. When I first came to central Florida the tickets were around 28.00.
    Prices now are ridiculous!
If current guests have something to say you NEED to listen!
    That says it all…..

Good for you Debbie & P.S. and everyone else who thinks the same way major changes has to be made to put it back where families could go without going in debt the way my Cousin Walt had in mind. That goes for Walt, Lillian, Roy, Edna, Walt & Roy’s 2 brothers & 1 sister and all their decedents. What is going now is a far cry from what was intended. All some of the leadership & board of directors is how can they get more money from the guests. They also need to rid Disney of the Woke people & cancel culture screen folks who apply to be CM’s more carefully & pay CM’S better. So do all this pronto!!!

Cause haters gotta hate. Like a moth to a flame, and it’s such a convenient scapegoat.

My husband and I went with the family for our granddaughter’s 21st birthday week and was so disappointed! To get electric carts to ride was hard if you weren’t there when the park opened and if you moved to another park and was lucky to get another cart there wasn’t a discount for renting earlier! The overall feeling we had of the park and resort wasn’t positive. We won’t be back. We loved Disneyland when we wen years ago but Disney World was disappointing!

I will aways keep fighting you folks and I will have thousands of battlehardened vet’s including me a vet helping. So the backlash against you people will grow!

          3. Walt

hahaha we are the haters. Ummm what do you call the emotion you project on those people like Christians, etc that you do not like. Your meaningless spewing of haters haters is really tiresome.

You know it and it needs to be!!!

      3. Kkb.

Of course it would. Sigh. it doesn’t have anything to do with anything Disney. Just get over it already.

    2. Ann

      I totally agree Gary.

What I think k is a shame is that we paid $ 4000 down payment to get married and and we had an emergency I. The family and had to cancel , than the pandemic hit and Disney cancel and with the canceled we didn’t get any deposit back nor was we able to set a 3rd date, was told 2 canceled opps sorry!
Yes, I know the 1st was our fault, but we had no control over the pandemic 2nd cancel!
      That was straight bologna!
      Roz..
We lined someone’s pocket that’s for sure.

I think all passholders perks should come back…..The main one is going to a park on whatever day they want and be able to park hop when they want too…… no reservations. .My husband and I have not park hopped at all since the new rules started…….We now go to Universal more often and any money we spend goes in their pockets, not disneys. Bring back a night time parade, I love fireworks, but its not worth it for us to wait around all evening after dinner and rides we like are completed for them. Now bring back a night time parade and we’d stay around………

    1. KkKkb

No don’t cancel reservation requirements! At least not. for Disneyland. It was a nightmarishly crowded before reservations. Won’t do that again and we were passholders for decades.

I am a senior on a fix income. Disney is my happy place. In time, I will not be able to go as it is getting so expensive. The Genie+ has made it difficult to ride a lot of rides. It is not fair to people who cannot afford all the extras and then waiting for 60 minutes or more for a ride. And to many tickets are being sold. It has never been so crowded. Not sure what the answer is, but don’t block out those of us that make Disney our happy place.

Please bring back the Disney Difference. The experience is no longer the same for so many reasons: cleanliness of parks particularly in the bathrooms, not stocked with soap and paper towels, garbage cans overflowing particularly by eateries, and unfortunately the introduction of alcohol everywhere readily available has destroyed it.

  7. Lisa

please get rid of park reservations and the Genie. the old fast pass plus was so much better – you could make your ride reservations, go to any park and park hop whenever you wanted. I would be glad to pay for the old fast pass plus system – so why can’t you just go back to that and just charge it . i want to be able to keep the spontaneity in my trip and not be on the phone all the time. and also still sleep late

My husband and I saw Puss and Boots and laughed the whole movie, same with Minions. I love Disney but haven’t laughed or liked a Disney movie in forever. Disney needs to stop having an agenda in its movies, theme parks and everything else. Just go back to the basics of family value, and honestly no one cares what a family means to each person. If your gay straight want to be neither but dont make it a message in everything.

    1. Ryu

      Very much agreed

  9. We too have been avid Disney fans and haven’t renewed our annual passes yet. We have not come to Disney since all the harsh rules weee set in place. Now I know it was done for the greater good when Covid hit but STILL….?.Until all restrictions have been eliminated and we can come and go as we please, we too will wait. But then again have had some good times with universal and sea world which we haven’t seen in years. Waiting to hear the news it’s finally free for US to pick and choose when to come. Come on guys. Let it go now.
    Signed,
    Disney Fans since 1981

Agree with many of the comments here! But don’t be deceived Iger is the problem. Everyone keeps blaming Chapek – yeah he was bad but IGER is just as bad if not worse. HE is the one that has started all this woke crap. Tony Baxter did not retire on the last night “splash” was running for no reason – that was his protest. And if you don’t know who Tony Baxter is he was an imagineer who designed the most incredible Disney experiences. CLEAN HOUSE form the board on down. If your a share holder vote against management – there is a movement afoot.

We are based in the UK and are planning to visit over the Easter break so that we can give our Grandchildren a wonderful experience as we did with our own children some years ago. So far we have found the pre-booking of all the parks and dining to be so stressful. For us, years ago, the magic of Disney was very much about being spontaneous, doing what you want when you want but it looks like our Grandchildren are going to have a very different experience. Just hope it’s still magical for them!!!!!

    1. Kkb

Shirley Moody. Think it over. It’s NOT the same as it used to be. I love Disney parks but it’s hardly any fun anymore unfortunately.

  12. BRENDA

Last time we were at Disney was our 2019 honeymoon. When everything was normal. Magical express. Dining plans. Fast passes. Iger needs to bring it all back. And make it affordable for everyone

  13. I’ve been a member of DVC for over 30 years and am so disappointed in the direction the company has been taking for the last few years. The park reservation system is a nightmare to navigate and the “wokeness” is disgusting.

  14. Ryu

Iger is definitely skilled at saying all the right things. But he ain’t capable of backing them up. There are too many wrong people at the table with him being the head,

  15. Yes and amen to everything I read. We are who the parks were for not their pockets

  16. Michael Crandell

Last I heard, the 2 PM entry without reservation was yet to come, but according to this article, it is now active. Is this accurate? Can anyone verify? Thank you kindly.
