Since they are so packed and have been Drew COVID, when are the stockholders going to start getting dividends again? Oh yeah, they haven’t been giving us stockholders our dividends since COVID started! I’m sure they got millions of dollars through PPP free money on top of being completely packed. Even through COVID my family went to California Disneyland and spent thousands $ (no discounts whatsoever for stockholders) and spent more time in line then on rides. My grandfather (one of the original founders) and Walt Disney would be rolling over in their graves! I’m sure the CEO is making as much or more than ever. I doubt he missed any pay whatsoever! Come on Disney get it together!
The shareholders at the top don’t seem to have the same aligning beliefs and goals as most guests do, and definitely not as Disney did when it comes to the terrible wages for employees at the parks, the state of the grounds, etc. Many of the bathrooms at the parks are so old and decrepit and need a major update but would take temporary losses. Also I think people with sense know the woke b.s. is not the majority by any means but it’s still making it’s way in. Part of that is making the rides unsafe-being afraid to call out massive people that don’t really belong on the rides, especially the older ones. I grew up going to Disney, but they used to make obese people stand to the side and wait a long time to have more space on Pirates etc because these rides have weight limits, and when the weight isn’t dispersed that also ruins the ride for all the other riders. It’s not about MooMoo and her obsession with Cheetos. It’s about basic math. But the castembers are probably discouraged from doing this, and if they were probably would fearbacklash so they don’t bother (“I don’t get paid enough” mentality-i don’t particularly care for but hey..). Yes you should definitely get your shares as well but it has little to nothing to do with this. If your money is not being used for benefitting the consumer you should probably be suing to get your shares just to stop being a shareholder. If you think it’s not worth it I mean. I have faith, but it’s going to take the work of many of the major shareholders or even more of the lesser-contributing ; putting the effort in to being heard and improving the parks.
Not a surprise. These older attractions were made when the average person was smaller and healthier.
They need to stop being worried about “politically correct” when it comes to guest safety and experience. If you’re an obese guest – these older rides weren’t made for you. People like that hardly existed back then.
If someone is in such a condition they need to be told to wait longer than everyone else and possibly to not get on. (Would occur natyi suspect if it’s a busy day and they have to wait over an hour to board a 30 min wait). I have family that is disabled and we’ve seen a few bad eggs using the disability line due to obesity. Yes they are now disabled, because they are fat. As they pour over in their 6XL scooters and shove food into their orfices. It’s very sad and a harsh warning-or should be-to the rest of us. I’m no twig or as healthy as I’d like to be but I’m not so big I’m causing the ride to not work properly. These things have weight limits, get over yourself and don’t be offended when the cast members call you out. Or that’s how it used to be when people had common sense….the mainstream ideology is what’s killing Disney. I hope there’s enough people with sense to keep supporting the rise not fall.
