My family and I have spent many weeks in Disney World over the past 20 years. I am saddened by the Disney Corps. decision to close such an iconic attraction as Splash Mountain. Just because a few didn’t like the dialect of the characters. There is no racist language or actions on this attraction. Disney Corp has made this decision based on ignorance of culture and history. Just as people in Maine, Massachusetts, New York, Texas etcetera have different dialects and customs the south had its own. Doesn’t make them racist just different. By removing this iconic ride Disney has decided that they do not accept the history or culture of the south because of wokeness. This decision is based on ignorance and ideology not history or facts. They claim they want diversity but they obviously do not see how unique this attraction is to our history and culture. I feel sorry for the families that will never have the opportunity to experience this attraction. Disney had the the opportunity to educate the public on the diversity of this culture. Instead of destroying it based on a few ignorant people that obviously have no concept of what true diversity is about.

The ride doesn’t know if it has a 5 minute wait or a 4 hour wait.

This should give the powers-that-be a clue about how folks feel about the changes.
