I understand the newer generation has no idea what that ride represents, but us older folk it’s a trip back to childhood. I sorry to see it go, but for our newer generation its necessary for them to have their memories.
What they are trying to do will only fail, earn bad receptions, and make them lose more money. And if they are storing them in a warehouse, then they might be used for a fifth park (which was mentioned and possibly planned during in Ready Creek).
Whatever the reason, theft or Disney removing the items for archival purposes, it’s really crummy. This ride should have been maintained totally and kept intact until the last day. Again, apathetic Disney at its finest.

Disney archives takes props from rides that are closing to store in the warehouse. A friend works in that department and just told us on Sunday.
