A lot of people seemed pretty disappointed with the originally-announced Thunderbolts line-up, and I can understand why. As a team of anti-heroes and semi-reformed villains assembled from multiple previous MCU teams there’s a lot of potential here, and yet the line-up here, with 5/6 characters either first appearing in “Black Widow” or last appearing in “Falcon and the Winter Soldier”, and those same 5/6 either being skilled but non-superpowered or empowered by super-soldier serum, it’s not exactly the varied ensemble I think a lot of us were expecting. Heck, two of them are even Captain America knock-offs!

And while a lot of people complain they didn’t use Abomination or White Vision or who have you, Ghost is, in my opinion, enough of a notable exception to offset those concerns, entirely different in both abilities and origin. She was a character I had been wondering if we’d see again and I was happy to hear we would be seeing more from her when they announced her for this team. If she’s seriously not in it I think it’d cut my interest in the film down considerably. I’d still probably go see it for Yelena and Bucky and such but it’d feel like a pretty big missed opportunity.
