Congratulations to the 1% of Disney fans that wanted splash mountain taken down.

    1. Bob

Going woke is destroying everything good Walt did.

    2. Lisa

They should have left Splash Mountain!!

      1. J

Disney, you gotta stop listening to the minority who are offended. A majority of the people who visit don’t care. They like it the what it was just for the memories.

    3. Diane Dillingham

I hate they are changing it. I vote keep it theway it is!

  2. Jayne1955

This was stupid. It would have made so much more sense to retheme Tom Sawyer’s island into a bayou and tie it in with the riverboat. They could have done a lot of amazing things with that. But they blew it.

    1. Steve

I am surprised you of all people would feel that way. Congratulations on not always being insane.

  3. Bob

PatF is an all time favorite?! It ($104M) was one of the worst box office performing Disney Princess films (only Atlantis did worse, and Nadeeh isn’t even a Disney Princess).

No one wanted this. At least, the majority didn’t want this. Oh no, that fox and rabbit are KKk members!

    Liberal activists destroy everything.

    1. Lisa

      I agree Bob!!

      1. Lisa

I would love to be able to watch Song of the South and formulate my my own opinion on that movie. OH WAIT I CAN’T… so sad…

        1. Mike G

          You can through second sources

        2. David A

Yes you can. It is available to download on the internet. Fortunately, being in the UK, I bought it on video and also have a digital copy. Was glad to be able to ride splash one last time last week although a sad time too

        3. Steve

You can, it isn’t even that hard. Disney wishes it was harder.

    2. David A

      Absolutely correct

  4. Lisa

You can still listen to the ride soundtrack on the Disneyland album. Get it while you can.

    1. Bob

Agreed! all the woke stuff will destroy Disney just like it will ruin everything for the 1% who are babies! Went on splash mountain the other day and Nothing is wrong… it’s just as amazing as it was since the day it opened.

    2. Steve

They can’t erase it. The internet never forgets.

  5. Craig B

I dont remember anything about the princess and the frog. Not really a classic…

  6. Jamie

I agree with all the comments. Why couldn’t they just update the Mark Twain boat to be Tiana’s Place. I saw the movie once when I was a kid and didn’t see anything wrong with it. I can’t watch it now. I can’t find it anywhere. So why give power to the small group of people apparently offended by everything. I asked one of those people who said they were offended. I asked why the ride, it’s a singing rabbit and his friends? They could not tell me why the ride offended them but just because it’s related to the movie. Meaning there is nothing offensive about the ride. They are just pissed about the movie so I say screw them. They don’t have to ride it.

    1. Steve

This will go down the same way Journey Into Imagination did.

  7. Strong Mark

It’s a great idea to make this change as I love seeing everyone in the comments cry cry cry like big fat adult babies. Waaaaaaa!

  8. Tim

Look, I can see if PATF has their own original attraction that’s being built around Frontierland (or in DL’s New Orleans Square), as well as Tiana has a restaurant (similar to that new creperie by the Ratatouille ride) that hosts Southern Comfort food (especially with the cuisine of New Orleans Louisiana during Mardi Gras). Now THAT would’ve been fine! It/they could’ve been on the other side of Tom Sayer’s Island (especially in MK).

    1. Tim

BUT it appears that history is going to be repeated, albeit with a different cause than before. In this instance, I’m talking about the replacement of Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride with the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. Even though Pooh was the more popular and well known compared to James Thaddeus Toad and his crew, but that was a CLASSIC!! It gave me fond memories of riding it with my grandma before she passed away

      1. Sandy

Well, you are part of the 1% snowflakes out to destroy everything. Part of history you want to get rid of. Nothing wrong with the movie or the song the ride represents. Liberal babies who hate America.

        1. Tim

Lol are you nuts?! Where the hell did I even ASKED for Splash Mountain to be changed to freaking PATF?! Where in the two comments did I WANT such a stupid thing?!

        2. Tim

Hell the next response I made is literally
“ I fear that the same thing is going to happen, only this time instead of switching out classic characters for more popular ones that more people know nowadays, it’s due to a reaction to what happened to George Floyd and BLM (with Tiana being the “perfect” character to “replace” Song of the South).”

  10. Mike G

The wokeness is strong with this nonsense. As a fan of Splash Mountain and Song Of The South, I’m offended by this unnecessary change

    1. Marie

Not to mention that the characters of Brer Rabbit, Bear and Fox are based on African Folktales. Guess Disney hasn’t got a clue as to what they are really doing…..

  11. S

I can confirm as someone with access to a time machine that it’s still Splash Mountain in the distant year of 2062 long after wokeness has been made illegal.

    1. Tim

And you couldn’t use your operational Time Machine to prevent Mr Toad getting switched with Pooh or prevent the freaking whole culture that’s embarrassing the company?? Instead you’re playing prophet?! C’mon man!! How much do I have to bribe you to fix this??

      1. Tim

Well…? When is that gonna happen, in 2056? And last I checked that Biff timeline isn’t some utopia that people are excited for. Hopefully you have a better comparison 🤨

  12. Iiz

I rode today – it was fun but I’m excited to see Tiana. The fact that the park is constantly growing and shifting is why we love it – it’s hard to see favorites change, it feels like losing a friend… But that friend in this instance needs to move on along and that’s factual!

  13. Steve

At some point, Disney will pass the critical point where no one wants what they are selling and no one trusts them to deliver anything they expected. This is just another step. Once it happens, it will be too late to reverse it.

Fire Iger, fire the board, fire the activists, and make Disney aane again.

    1. John

Amen! Is about time the board and activists get slammed for the bad leadership too! The entire company is controlled by a bunch of leftists who want to control people’s thoughts and actions and will do anything for a buck even if it’s destroys Walt’s legacy!

I actually disagree with some of what is being said in the article, having visited at the beginning of the month, some animatronics were not working earlier in the week that were seemingly mended (and working) later. I think it is more a general thing that maintenance standards are lower than they used to be as WDW is still understaffed from Covid.
