    Fire Bob. That is how.

If Disney wants to start to repair their reputation they need to Save Splash Mountain. If they go through with the retheme they will lose more fans and their movies will continue to bomb. People are tired of how political they have become and this would be a good first step.

Agreed, it’s also a nostalgia thing for a lot of people, I remember lining up for it for a couple of hours when it first opened.
I was a tourist from Australia, and it was one of the best things I’d ever seen, let alone ridden. I have ridden itany times since on subsequent vacations, and it holds a lot of great memories for me.
      Leave it be Disney!

Agree with Jose 100%. And anyone who sees the movie Song of the South as problematic is only seeing that in there own minds. Watch the movie to make an intelligent determination. Uncle Remus was a nice old black man who was a former slave and now WORKS for the family and tells the children stories. Nothing wrong with that!

  3. Suzie

This is a brilliant fix! And I would included James Baskett, Nick Stewart, and Hattie McDaniel somehow into Splash or the line to honor the black actors who earned Oscars and honorary Oscars for the film when it was controversial for black actors to win these awards. Honor our black American film history, don’t erase it, especially when it’s beautiful and inclusive

I have a great idea, keep splash mountain as is and build Tianas Bayou Adventure from the ground up behind the Haunted mansion and expand New Orleans square. It’s all about fitted theming, not cluttering.

    1. No keep it as it is for song of the south 2 new Disney film based on Disney Parks most water ride attraction splash mountain & Oscar award winning film song of the south ! Or should I say Disney’s song of the south’s splash mountain

    2. Rethemepiratesandthecaribbeanatdisneylandresort into the princess and the frog 2 Tiana’s Caribbean journey also an all new Disney animated film from the creators who brought you Moana frozen and star !

Splash Mountain is one of the most iconic rides in Walt Disney World. It’s been around for over 33 years. The reality is the majority love this ride and Disney is pandering to twitter crazies that don’t work, don’t go to Disney Parks, and just want everything cancelled. This article here is a brilliant idea. KEEP SPLASH MOUNTAIN. BUILD TIANA HER NEW RIDE. EVERYONE IS HAPPY.

    1. Steve

The activists won’t be happy and they are the ones who control Iger.

The log flume has sailed. It’s too late. Disney began building new sets and AA characters for the attraction(s) months ago. Splash Mountain is being rethemed. Get over it.

    1. Anonymous

You get over it Marcus. The log fume has not sailed yet and construction has not begun yet. Reality check, Disney has lost too much money already and failure has been rising. Their so called stock bump has evaporated a couple of days ago, and this so called re-theme will only turn to failure and make them lose more money and customers than you would think. They go through that path, then it will fail with them. When it comes to money loss in their stock and customer losses, things will fail, things would get cancelled, and Iger may potentially get the boot sooner than later. You can’t talk or lie your way out of those facts. Now get use to it and get real.

I’ll bet any amount of money that the lines will be longer than ever for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure when it opens, which would be consistent with the trend we’ve been seeing with Jungle Cruise. Since that attraction was revamped, we’ve seen wait times match, and at times even surpass, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. It won’t stop people from venting and whining on social media, of course, but hey, you gotta do you, I guess. It’s been amusing to watch, actually. P.S. Happy holidays!

A new CGI movie would be great!

Every ride you close hurts millions of people that have great memories of the ride and park. And closing a ride because of a political reason its crazy. Splash mountain is one of the happiest rides in the park.Instead of closing a ride due to political reasons and brought about from adults with political agenda. Or just adults with bad attitudes and chips on there shoulders.Do what walt would do. Its really simple you ask the kids that come off the ride. You wont hear nothing negative all positive. Kids are great they dont even think of the crap that adults do.And they never would except for the programming and negative crap they hear from adults.Walt created this park for the kids. And kids dont have any problems with the park,So why would you change it. And also hurts the adults that where at disney as kids you tear down there memories. Memories they want to share and show there children. When you tear down a ride. You hurt all the people that help make the park as great as it is by coming to the park year after year.Remember the park is for the kids. Leave the adult opinions out of it. Adults will have something removed for a political reason when really they just want to hate and tear down others memories out of spite.Leave the park alone walt would be turning in his grave if he new what you where doing. May he rest in peace.Leave his dream alone. And leave park alone. And leave the hate on the outside of the park where it belongs.

Walt had nothing to do with the creation of Splash Mountain. He wasn’t alive when it was built. Also, your argument that “kids don’t even think about the crap that adults do” can also be applied to revamping rides – they don’t care. Kids won’t miss an old ride the way adults will. They’ll make memories with the new version. They’re just happy that something exists for them to ride.

  10. Alvaro

What a problematic ride, good riddance.

    1. Marie

Except the Brere characters are based on African folklore brought with the slaves. It’s part of people’s history.

So if you don’t like it, and have issues with the characters, you are the one with the problem.

      1. Sharon

Enough people staying away from Disney Parks and now this will cause more people to avoid Disney. Other parks will benefit!

    Zip-a-dee-do-GONE!

There isn’t anything wrong with Song of the South to begin with. So no, it doesn’t need to be a new movie. The woke nonsense just needs to stop

    1. Jerry Buice

You are exactly right! I have never seen anyone explain why Song of the South was such a horrible movie. It was a beautiful movie.

  13. Quinn

Keep Splash Mountain. Build Tiana her own ride. Stop catering to the wacky minority. Leaving the woke mentality behind and getting back to Walt’s way of thinking is the only right thing to do.

    1. Dodger

What does Walt’s way of thinking have to do with Splash Mountain? He wasn’t even involved in its creation. LMAO

  14. John

Any fans that wants change head on over to change.org

  15. Kurt

    Such a non-issue.

  16. Mason

We can’t do anything sadly. The people at Disney believe the entire fanbase is full of woke activists. Disney is only doing this for woke brownie points. Hey if Saint George Floyd didn’t die none of this would be going on.

  17. Dee

I love this idea it is totally problematic. I have always thought to BUILD TIANA HER NEW RIDE is a beautiful idea too. however never quite thought it right to put her on splash mountain she is a princess and deserves to be on the side of the park with other princess’. To put her clear across the park just says she isn’t equal also. We love Splash mountain to moderonize it is a great idea. Do right by beautil Tiana build her a grand place on the pricess side of the park! I think that would be a win win!

  18. Jayne1955

It would have worked much better to put a bayou on Tom Sawyer’s island and tie it in with the riverboat. How awesome that could be.
