I tried to use it in two of the parks but ended up refunding both parks and didn’t use the for the rest of the parks. I didn’t want to keep having to plan rides every minute and have to bounce all over the park. It was absolutely miserable. Until they go back to some form of the fast pass system, I won’t be going back. I’ve already cancelled my family trip for 8 next year. We’ll be getting a vacation home and going to SeaWorld. Sorry Disney but it’s just not magical anymore. Rides were constantly stalling or breaking down.

so how exactly is $17 a lot cheaper than the $15 it was for the majority of the time the stupid program has been in affect. Genie + is nothing but a money grab and should be trashed. Tickets are expensive enough as it is. Bring back Fast Pass and stop charging double for everything (Once for ticket into the park and a second d time for this scam to ride rides you wanted to ride)

Because if you followed along with the prices Chapek had raised the prices for Genie+ to around $27 before he was kicked to the curb.

I refuse to pay more for rides in parks. I’m a Dvc and pixie dust annual passholder member so I’ve been to Disney many times and I’m not happy w the price increases for everything. Enough is enough!!!

So we’re suppose to be grateful for this so called ‘Price Drop’)-our annual pass just came up for renewal and since we experienced the 50 Year Hype and got to ride GoG at Epcot(when it wasn’t broke down and we could get in virtual queue), unfortunately we realized the magics gone and even for ap holders we still get nickel and dimed to death and hence won’t be renewing(i really hope Eger will undo some of the Epic fails that Chapek dropped, but it’ll take Awhile to undo this Hot Mess and bring back the ‘Magic’)!

So…the ‘surge pricing’ model is working as intended? The funny part is they knew this would happen when they designed it, and I’m sure they are very happy with websites playing into their hands with articles like ‘Genie+ drops 40%!’…without taking into account that the ‘drop’ is still more than Genie+ was before surge pricing went into effect. This is exactly how surge pricing is supposed to work–this week is typically one of the slower weeks before the holiday push. In about two weeks I fully expect to start reading ‘Genie+ pricing higher than ever!’ articles…

Just get rid of it. After paying for our Magic Keys, I can’t afford to pay more to ride rides. It is very frustrating to wait in in the standby line while 20 or more people in the Lightning Line go through for every 2-5 standby people get in.

They need to raise the price up, make it $500

Genie + Needs to go, terrible, can not plan a day like fast passes, stuck on phone in the app all day for lack luster results, I’m ok with paying for a service if it makes my vacation easier, genie+ does not. I will never go back while it’s still in use in its current form!

Line cutting is a scam. Disney tickets are a scam. Boycott Disney, fire Iger.

Sorry, Steve. I don’t think that Walt’s available to run Disney.
Anytime that the family is no longer involved in a family business and it’s run by business people, this is what you get. They make money and get more and more brazen. The original purpose is lost

So true. It’s all about the money, NOT the experience within reach of the common man. Now you need to sacrifice a lot of your money and time for a half ass thrill. It’s never enough for these corporate barons. Go to Busch Garden or Great America and and save yourself the irony of a past dream, meant for all. At a reasonable price.

Used it. Not worth the money. Got on one ride. Iger needs to return to the Fast Pass system, pronto. The parks are still making money, but if Disney does not start listening to the public and reverse these unpopular policies, that won’t be true much longer. Get the magic back, Bob.

I went to DW in September 2021. Too many people, too much cost with Genie +, and still lines. Magic is gone!
I have been to DW 6 times and that was worst trip. Was on the phone at least half the time trying to order food and get ride reservations. I missed just walking around and deciding to just experience rides, shows and fun. Always rushing to meet my reservation time. Not sure if I will go back-Too expensive, even for one person.

I paid 30 per person on Nov 19th at Disneyland
