I will always love Mary poppins, there are a few scenes I love from the remake. There are 3 songs I love, trip a little light fantastic, cover is not the book & can you imagine that.
Anyone else sick of the, “let’s bash Americans” rhetoric? We get bashed for immigration when pretty much any other developed country is WAY stricter. Try immigrating to the UK or any EU nation if you’re not part of the EU. Or illegally crossing into China, Russia or the Middle East and see how you’re treated. We get blamed for climate change when there’s China and India. We’re accused of being loud and over the top, but the rudest people I have encountered on vacation have been foreigners. They complain about our food and lack of culture, but if we embrace theirs we’re accused of cultural appropriation. They say all we care about is wealth and image, but they come here in droves for that exact thing. The fact of the matter is that Disney doesn’t do more construction at the parks because people already go in huge numbers and they don’t need to. They do the bare minimum because while people may complain, it’s with their mouths and not their wallets. Their profits remain. If I had to bash Americans at all, it would be that we’re too complacent and don’t stand up to things anymore. Stop actually going to these parks, then maybe they’ll build and update more to bring the crowds back.
Being familiar with the industry, Americans do their equal share of being horrible. The amount locals coming up with their sense of entitlement and feeling owed to be there is astounding. The only point I agree with is that people need to suck it up and make their opinions when they see the final product, not while it’s being built.
As a guy who lives in Europe and have visited Disneyland Paris, Disneyland Resort and Disney Word several times, I think you should way less complain, because the American Disney parks are getting at least new attractions unlike Disneyland Paris, which got only the Avengers Campus with only one semi good new ride for a very long time. The latest new attraction in the Disneyland Paris itself was Buzz Lightyear from 2006(!). You can complain after 16 years of not a single new ride, but not if you getting too many new rides.
Oh please – you have no idea how difficult life is for us white people. Why, I went to Starbucks today and they were out of Pumpkin Spice – my whole day was wrecked . The only joy we get is complaining about how our lives are not more perfect. Disney owes us. Our moms told us so!
Lol, Disney adult apologists. Seriously though the reason that Japan gets way better things is because it isn’t run by Disney. It’s basically a fan run park Bobby has very little control over it.
