I don’t like people’s hair elastic bands on Expedition Everest. It’s bizarre, unsanitary, ruins the experience/landscape. Who was the idiot that first did this and thought it was a good idea?
Elastic hair ties are extremely dangerous to wildlife. Granted, it’s more likely that the ones lost in the hurricane ended up inside the ride somewhere, but even still, I don’t like the idea of littering with them. Surely there’s a compromise where people can “leave something behind” without also polluting a theme park based on the conservation of nature. :/
If that’s a tradition for you, have at it. I kind of see it as equivalent to people tossing coins in fountains/wishing wells. I guess if Disney had a problem with it, they would screen off this portion of the ride to keep it from happening.
