I think it is awful and makes me terribly nervous. I Specifically booked my trip after Sept. 22 (last day of summer) to ensure that I would be able to go on this ride. Universal has stated that the ride would be running by “late summer”, so I’m praying that they stick to that. My entire trip was basically booked around the availability of this ride. I can’t express how frustrated/disappointed I (and my family) would be if we were not able to ride ROTM. I literally booked off the timeline Universal has given. Time is ticking.
Coming in early September this year hoping to get my cup of coffee with Rick will be really disappointed if we can’t get to ride the best ride in universal Orlando.
I love the mummy ride it’s awesome it’s my favorite ride. I was disappointed when it wasn’t open in May while I was there. I hope it opens soon especially for Halloween Horror Nights
I’m grateful Universal Studios Orlando takes ride maintenance seriously (unlike that Cheapskate Bob Chapek at Disney!)
Universal Studios Orlando did state this would be a lengthy refurbishment (back in January), so you can’t assume it’ll be open while trying to plan your trip (always check their website).
I agree, this is one of those Rides you want to go on during Halloween (it’s a top 3 for me), but at the same time – if it takes a year to fix up? it takes a year (my only question is if there will be new animatronics OR is this going strictly digital projections – I prefer animatronics, but I have to realize there are pyrotechnics involved).

I love this ride and want it back. Last time I went two of my grandsons didn’t go with. I want to take them when the ride is open.
