I just spent 5 days at a ft wilderness cabin, I have 4 young girls, this was our 4th stay in 7 years.
The new system of reservations and genie o not mesh. The genie system changed 6-1-22, waste of money, scheduling rides is a nightmare and is no way set up for a family of 6 trying to Russell 4 one to nine year old girls around the park. You can’t schedule your day. You can only jump on and schedule the next ride after completing a selected ride. The next option is 4 hours away, and once completed, there are zero options the schedule a ride. I should be able to schedule a full day, Levin one ride, headed to the next, nope, just get up a 7am and select your oe ride that may be available and may not….. Stupid system, wasted 5000.00 to ride 10 rides in 5 days….do it recommend Disney at this time. After 15 plus visits, I am done until they fix it….

We went in February, off season, and we are Disney people, but now we are done with WDW. Change for the worse. SAD

Were the stand by line closed?

Can we just ban strollers and scooters??? They 150% make the parks worse!!!

  2. bob

The place kind of sucks now. Too many people and they can’t manage the rides. IT’s too bad that it’s become so popular. It’s a victim of its own success.

My kids and grandkids always loved seeing the lizards.

I loved seeing the small natural things I don’t get to see at my home in California. The abundance of white ibis birds, and the rare occasional colored one. Spanish moss. Frogs. Greenery in the winter the one time I did go during that period. All of it was fascinating.

The first comment on rope drop.
    Mad house!!
We were at Magic Kingdom, off Season in February.
People with strollers were running into you, my wife was knocked down, and the guy kept pushing into her as she was on the ground!
Disney, you need a better system. After 50yrs of going to the parks, this was the worse visit and 8thousand for a vacation that we have ever had at Disney Park.
The problem starts at the TOP, need better management at Disney.

Perhaps disability scooters and strollers should be used for people with a disability and small children, rather than the lazy! SO many lazy young people- get the steps in, it’ll do you good!

    1. Deborah

Some disabilities are not visible. Shame on you for assuming they are just lazy.

      1. Debbie

        Agree!

      2. Linda

They are correct, the majority of the people that come into DL saying they have a disability are lying. It gets you a faster pass onto the rides. I know several able body people who have done it. Tell me I don’t have a back problem and need this stroller as a walker.

Be happy for all the lizards. They eat mosquitos instead of the mosquitos eating us.
    Mosquitos = GOOD!

Was there in July 2022. Was so disappointed. We did not see one single show on the street. The last time we were there they had folks singing and dancing along the roads with the electric cars that was full of crew members singing and dancing every hour, it seemed. No Mickey or Minnie no princesses appearances anywhere. Every other ride had (technical difficulties) during the ride. We would be stranded for 5 to 10 mins in extreme heat because the ride had stopped. With no explanation. These rides are 50 years old. Disney needs some serious safety maintenance done on these rides. All the food was awful. Everything was frozen, fried and tasted like plastic. Couldn’t get a decent salad anywhere. Spent tons of money and was so disappointed. The quality Disney experience I was used to is totally gone.

We were there in July of 2022 Some Mom taking their small boys( 3 and 4) that were in line for the Avatar boat ride and letting them pee out on the side of a shrub in the line. Totally disgusting.

      1. JMR

But at least that mother had them do it in a bush. One Asian mother at Disneyland had her son pee openly on the boarding area for Mark Twin steamboat. This was before the crowding we are all experiencing today. Had plenty time to take the boy to the restroom by Zocalo. She just didn’t want to. I feel for folks with little girls. Females cannot “zip & drip”.

These gross people should be ejected from the park for such disgusting behaviors. I cannot condone the uncouthness of today’s society.

  9. D Loughin

You would have to pay me to go. It is no longer the happiest place.

    1. Having to stand in line forever what choice did they have? Not too mention 2 little boys peeing on a shrub is not disgusting!

      1. David

I guess your idea of disgusting is different than ours. Urine can kill shrubbery which adds to the cost of replacement which adds to increase in price in the park due to people like her.

Sadly WDW is becoming a locals’ theme parks, ie Floridan’s and vloggers, that are APs. They have the time to enjoy the parks at their leisure. It’s definitely not a family vacation destination with costs upwards of $6000 and getting little enjoyment for your vacation dollars! Waiting in long lines for rides and food is not relaxing and definitely not a vacation. Everything requires a reservation to enjoy, even getting into the parks. Heck premium ride are an extra cost if you can get a reservation. Visited this May (Disney property) and bypassed the parks, too crowded and couldn’t get a park reservation. Cancelled upcoming Oct visit going to a more vacation friendly place and the only thing that will require a reservation is dinner! This is sad because I visit Disney 2 to 3 times a year, not any more!

I would no longer call a visitor to Disney World a “guest.” That’s a thing of the past. Now I would call them a victim.

  13. Yauxier

Uh, yes it’s inexcusable. The parent should walk a child to the bathroom as the line is held for them. Even animals know not to pee in certain places. As a parent you are responsible for a child’s behavior and public urination is a misdemeanor. Want to know why people have problems? Look to their lazy parents.

  14. sfcpres

Rude guests that think they are the only ones who matter. Whether line jumping, arguing with Cast Members, or simply running you over to get somewhere ahead of everyone else. My family experienced all of that in May @ WDW.

  15. Jep

Banning strollers would be a good first step. If the child can’t walk, it’s not ready for the Disney experience.

You would think by now they’d have the technology to make the park’s logistics at least with a semblance of rationality and not life threatening. I wouldn’t go there if you paid me. It’s not a vacation. It’s a job. It seems like Disney is sadistic. They want people to go through he’ll and back to ride Guardians of the Galaxy. They don’t even have People Movers.
