While I agree that these Orcas don’t belong in tanks like this, SeaWorld cannot release the ones that were born in captivity. That would be like someone throwing you into the wild without any knowledge of how to survive. They wouldn’t do well and unfortunately they probably would not survive. Also, do not watch Blackfish like the comments above suggest. It is propaganda and wildly inaccurate. SeaWorld has a wonderful rescue and rehabilitation program. They release the animals that can survive and they keep the ones that don’t have good chances. Still, dolphins and orcas don’t belong in the tanks that are provided and I sincerely hope SeaWorld does not continue to house these bigger mammals and porpoises once they are gone, especially since breeding whales and dolphins has been outlawed.

You are being mislead if you think these majestic creatures are better off in a chlorinated swimming pool that is not even close to being the size they need. They were never meant to do shows for people to enjoy. They were meant for people to visit places in the oceans they occupy. SeaWorld has not followed up on their promise to quit the shows. The marine life there are just money makers. Do your homework people. If you don’t like how they are being treated then do something about it.

It’s ashame that YOU think Wild animals living in a concrete pool is better than them living in the WILD where they were taken from for profit to begin with.
Research Ric O Barry (who helped capture and TRAIN the dolphin from the movie FLIPPER) and see why he is now on the good side of things! He knows what goes on and the truth.

We all have different opinions but stating that they belong in a tank vs the wild even after captivity is pure brainwashing on Seaworlds part and YES they can be released its been proven they just have to relearn how to be a wild animal again.
This is WHY you will continue to see videos like this and see trainers die BECAUSE THEY ARE WILD AND BELONG IN THE WILD as well as see the lies that Seaworld spews as they still have their shows and have done nothing for the animals they enslave in captivity.

Better investigate me then as well. I just had a cat pass away in captivity in my home and then today all out war broke out between the other 2. There was blood. Just remember PETA doesn’t even want people owning cats and dogs. PETA is also responsible for murdering thousands of animals every year!
PETA is a poor excuse for a group to tell anyone what is right or wrong. The animals they have released from many labs die or destroy eco systems they do not belong in in the first place.
This video is poor quality, if the water was becoming so blood soaked as stated you would see red in the water and you do not.

Any time I hear the word PETA I cringe. PETA is like a whole lot of companies MONEY HUNGRY. I have friends in the Dog Show world and they are a horrible group of people who mistreat dogs. Yeah right!!! My dogs live in my house and are the biggest bunch of babies I have ever been around. These dogs are well fed, well played with and above all pampered. Then in comes PETA. In California PETA went to dog shows and released dogs from their crates to RUN FREE Because that was what they were meant to do. People had to put locks on the crate doors so PETA couldn’t release or take these animals. This is one example of what PETA has done I have more but don’t want to bore people. PETA needs to take a look at all the crappy puppy mills in the US but I digress. PETA I’m sure does a few things right but I agree orcas born in captivity cannot be released into the wild. Animals do very vicious things to other animals in the wild. They are animals. I am sorry that I got on my high horse about PETAS treatment of animals but I could almost bet that they kill more animals than they save. Haven’t even touched Humane Society or the ASPCA.
I just feel that Orcas need to be taken out of their show. I don’t know if they can be put back in the wild or if they can make it in the wild. Maybe a sanctuary for Orcas that don’t include performing. Just letting them live.

No animal this large who could survive in the wild belongs in captivity. It’s too dangerous for the workers and cruel to these animals.
