My family has stayed at Pop Century many times and have never experienced any of the problems described. We absolutely love the resort and would not stay anywhere else!

we always stayed there till our anniversary two yrs ago, stayed at a supposed great hotel that cost twice as much, no room service the whole time we were there and a 5 to 10 minute walk to the bus and the opposite direction to the food court with no seating inside……..Next time we will stay at POP or AOA

More copying from other sites and calling it news. Might want to look up the definition of “cafeteria”, also. Pop Century does not offer cafeteria service.

Disney has sucked for over a de ace. It’s now finally starting to swirl the bowl.

There is a very simple answer- stop going- there are thousands of other ways to spend your money and enjoy your life than going to Disney because they don’t care anymore.

Just another Karen looking to complain. Stay home, Disney is clearly not for you!

This is so weird seeing my low blood sugar Reddit rant becoming an article. For the record, I’ve had a completely wonderful trip. Best vacation years. I just don’t like being stranded in the rain and hangry for 45 minutes. When I did make it to dinner, I had a wonderful meal overlooking the water and watching the sunset with my family. I’d come again, and bus frustration not withstanding I’d stay at “Poo Century” again in a heartbeat.

  7. We have stayed at Pop Century several times and loved it each time. We always drive so we didn’t wait for the bus. The food was good the cast members were always very nice. I would stay there any time.

So, I haven’t stayed at Pop since joining DVC in 2010 but before that it was my favorite value resort and we always enjoyed eating in the food court. They used to serve a delicious chicken alfredo meal. In fact, we visited there specifically in 2016 for that dinner. I totally understand the frustration with bus transportation because that was also the year we did Disney without a car and vowed NEVER again.

Boo hoo, stayed at the cheap hotel and expecting 4 star service, there’s other ways to get around Disney without using the buses

I will translate the article for you…..”Wah wah wah I’m an entitled millenial and everyone must bow to my superior intelligence, sensitiviety and insight. ” Guess what – I have a shocking piece of news for you – the world does not revolve areound you. That being said ALL of Disney sucks now – stop going until Iger/Chapek team and policies are removed.

Oh, please! What all of your comments biik down to is it was ok to drop 3.5K on a vacation but NOT ok to do research? Everything you crabbed about is out there a million times over. Now I see you walked back your OP because of a low blood sugar rant?? How old are you, Ms Entitled Princess? Grow up.

    1. OP

41 thanks. I see you never crabbed about anything on social media before in a time of weakness. That’s cool. I’ll just try to be a more evolved human.

Well Disney World is becoming a communist regime.

    1. The phrase you are looking for is “unbridled capitalism in action.”
The sole purpose of a capitalist organization is to make a profit.
Making the customer happy is WAY down the priority list.

And given that, Disney STILL does a pretty good job of making most of their customers happy. I.e. even the people making the loudest complaints KEEP COMING BACK.

  14. You already know isn’t the most expensive place on earth, yet you stay at a budget hotel and expect the Polynesian? If you what top notch you gotta pay for it, if you can’t afford more Micky don’t care. He caters to deep pockets! The Polynesian was super nice back in February!

I stayed at pop century as well. Since covid happened Disney was using alot of busses that were not there and most of those busses did not have the handicapped lift. We waited an hour and 20 minutes for them to finally send a handicapped accessible bus to magic kindom.so 5 of us lost about an hour of park time. Sane thing coming back from Disney springs.

As a Disney enthusiast I will agree the quality of the Disney vacation, the food choices and quality, the cleanliness of the parks and the customer service is going down constantly. But the price keeps going up! I just hate to see it continue.

People should just stop spending money until they get rid of the CEO and someone in there that cares enough to bring it back like it was

The last two times I was treated by staff very poorly. I used to enjoy going but not the last two times. First this concierge on Riverside was a real creepy Karen then decided to stay in french quarters on my last day I was humiliated by the boat captain and his side kick lied . Before this we stayed at the movies resort lots cheaper and better service and better staff. The captain was so so rude in top of showing off late for his shift. Bought a chef s hat had it ship to my home in Canada . It wasn’t working and was damaged. They never contacted me.

I’m currently staying at Saratoga Springs, which is a short drive to Disney Springs. It was pouring rain and we had just missed a 6:00
bus we had dining reservations for 6:50. We honestly thought this would not be a problem, after all buses come every 20 minutes and it’s a short drive to the Springs, we could make the reservation. Nope! Bus didn’t come to 6:45, standing room only. Thank you to the very nice British woman that gave up her seat for me, apparently the men? No longer give up their seats. Missed our reservations. Due to health reasons and the location of our building I am unable to walk the distance to the walkway, plus it was lightning and pouring rain. So, the moral of this story is that it doesn’t matter if you stay in a value resort or a luxury resort..the bus system isn’t always the best.
