We love blizzard beach more than typhoon laguna.
More family friendly floats and slides . Area for juniors that parents like too.

  2. Carrie

So silly that it is closed for the 50th summer. They had the whole of covid to refurbish.

    1. Eddie

Without Employees how would that be done?

      1. Bon

They did not have to lay them off. Cheap skate s

just to be clear, theme park rehabs were essential employers?

        2. Joe

WTF are you talking about?!? They should have paid them to NOT WORK? OR they should have worked THROUGH COVID?!?

        3. Bill

Maybe Disney is being political once again and nobody wants to go there

Agreed, Construction was considered essential work. However the parks were only closed in Florida for a shorttime compared to California. Further, Just because the parks were closed to Guests does not mean that maintenance didn’t need to be done. The problem is that Chapek and company saw an opportunity to make a short time gain at the cost of making a lot more money in the future. This is why you see all the issues that plague the infrastructure of WDW and DL now. It is funny you don’t hear about the same issues at SeaWorld opened 1973 and Universal Opened 1990. Now I am not sure if the fact that you didn’t hear about massive layoffs at those two parks have anything to do with it but my guess is that it has something to do with it though.

What’s funny is all you GENIUSES that seem to ALL be able to make BILLION DOLLAR CEO decisions!!! LMFAO!!

    3. They weren’t working during COVID. Quarantine applied to EVERYONE

  3. Eddie

People have no clue about the extent of corrosion and wear a Waterpark endures over decades.

nor do they appear to know anything about what a lockdown means. Somehow Water Park construction was not considered essential workers.

      1. EmiEm

Florida barely had a lockdown, please. 😭

      2. D a n i e

And why would you think it would be considered an essential worker job it is not essential for you to go to a water park it is essential for you to go to the grocery store.

      3. Bridget

        I Love Blizzard beach!!!

My son Loved the Kids area.

Hopefully It will Reopen soon A long with Return of Dining plan

        1. I don’t think there going to bring the dinning plain back. They were not making enough money. There making the money on food now they increased the prices. Why would they bring it back when there making more money on food now. Coming from a insider.

As a Floridian… we were locked down for 30days We Don’t Have Your Problems! And yes ALL construction workers were considered essential 🤦🏼

        1. Thomas Simpson

And not realated at all – you had some of the most deaths per capita too!

  4. Matt C

Went to volcano bay this summer for the first time and the interactive theming, atmosphere and ride quality blew both Disney parks out of the water.

    1. Thomas Simpson

Wait. A 4 year old park was better than a 30 year old park? What? Maybe that’s why they’re refurbing it.

  5. No, that is good recording,
it’s that some people are SOB’s and just want to create a fight over anything.. Your writing was good to what you knew of the park statis at this point.

      Status updates are important.

I would be sad— if I knew what state this was in ??

    1. Michael

      Florida, Walt Disney World area.

  8. Rebekah

Will miss blizzard beach this year. The park I enjoy the most. A sad report for me!

  9. Terry

That’s because Disney buys there park material from China and it’s junk or doesn’t show up. Universal buys from USA suppliers and has crazy quality control. I spent 15 years building waterparks

    1. Jeremiah McKenna

So true. Current and most recent admin wanted to cheapen out on the parks, which is sad.

  10. Me

Guess that’s what happens when you have to “pay your fair share” 🤷‍♂️

  11. El

Disney may as well just say it, some ice cream workers went down the wrong elevator and found a secret Russian base nobody’s supposed to know about underneath Blizzard Beach. Stranger Things 5 coming soon.

    1. myob

Mickey is going to be pissed…

    2. Skeet

It was a secret Chinese base, though. Working on COVID 22.

  12. gary

always closed to redo typhoon will close and blizzard will open keeping two parks open isn’t feasible as rarely do they get near capacity most bogus uninformed site i’ve ever seen

  13. Linda

    Could care less

  14. Paul

They need to get this open ASAP. The parks are crowded and this park would at least take away some bodies everyone trips over.

  15. I don’t think there going to bring the dinning plain back. They were not making enough money. There making the money on food now they increased the prices. Why would they bring it back when there making more money on food now. Coming from a insider.
