  1. I have seen this happen to people at Disneyland time and time again when we had annual passes. The worst case was the woman crying at the bottom of the handicapped ramp to Casey Jr Circus Train who was throwing up non stop. My significant other works in a hospital and alerted the cast member, and asked the woman if she had drank any water. Not only did she not drink any water but she hadn’t eaten. She was there with her five kids and her husband and they didn’t have money for food or drinks so they had left their lunch in the car and were going to go eat it at lunch time and drink soda’s from their cooler at that time as well.

By the time first aid got there she had about three sips of water from a water bottle we gave her, and she could barely stand up when first aid arrived.

I’ve also seen people who chug Starbucks and soda all day long have the heat get to them. When you are doing so much walking and exerting yourself so much you have to drink water in the parks, the caffeine in soda’s and coffee literally dehydrates you more. The parks can be fun in the summer time, but we would stick to mornings only when we had passes because the afternoon heat was just not worth it. I know for a lot of people they plan to stay all day, and just remember drink water.

Every snack or food booth offers free cups of water in the parks – the exception being at the food and wine in Epcot. So a situation like this is one of ignorance on the part of the person who got sick. That said however, I do think this fact could be better advertised within the parks themselves, especially during Summer time.

  2. Not a Disney problem. It’s hot it’s Florida it’s humid. Granola bars are cheap, carry them in your backpacks. There are water fountains.

Anybody notice the fake/photo shopped photo that begins this article? There is no giant dinosaur head nor does the vehicle look like that @ Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at Disney world. 🙄
