Well, considering how long Monsters Inc has been around and how low budget the ride feels, I wouldn’t be surprised if they completely change it.

    1. Ruben

      Low Budget? Really??

    2. Viola Anderson

Its always good to move on to something new,it keeps people satisfied,n changes will keep people revisiting the park.

Both MI:M&SttR and MI: Laugh Floor were closed-attraction concessions (Superstar Limo and Timekeeper) to fans’ never, never, NEVER-ending nags for “When are we going to get a Monsters Inc. Door Ride coaster?”
(Probably never, unless you can figure out how one can “ride” a door, without clinging to it for life like M&S did.)

Proving once again, like Stitch’s Great Escape, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and Frozen Ever After that fans always come up with the worst attraction ideas.

    1. Steve

None of those were fan attraction ideas. They were cheap cash ins or woke pandering straight from the two Bobs.

      1. James

We love the WDW laugh floor. So fun. My dad was “that guy!”

      2. JC

“WoKe PaNdErInG” you must be fun at parties…

    2. Kirk

Easy you have it go through the doors and the coaster cars can be shaped like Sully

  3. Becky

😑😒🤦‍♀️ Can you say a hype article? You guys did the same thing with Pirates and it came back. Attractions get refurbishments, they don’t always post when the are coming back. You are assuming thing and you know what happens when you assume something…

Damn that’s upsetting cause I was trying to plan a vacation trip to Disneyland this year but if one of the rides that I wanna experience is gonna be closed for maintenance then I’ll have to re-examine my options

  5. Disnerd

If you are going to reschedule your Disneyland trip for THIS ride being down? You need to reexamine if you are really a Disney fan at all. IJS

      This!!! Ha! 100%

    2. JP

Everyone likes different things… be nice, jeeze.

  6. That ride is great, wish Disney World had it.
Why does Disney close all good rides??

    1. Dawn

It’s not “closing”… it’s maintenance. Since they moved the OBB over to DCA maybe they are giving it a Halloween makeover.

  7. Disney Gal

If they aren’t bringing back the shows at the Hyperion Theater, I think it’s time for them to demolish that area and expand Avenger’s Campus; we desperately need Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind.

    1. Dale

Expand comic book themed areas ? NO, we need less of that garbage that appeals to a few nerdy types. Stop ruining Disneyland with your comic book ” Heroes “

      1. Leeann Jacket

They would never close that ride, wait times are over an hour – since it was added to Genie Plus. It’s down for maintenance.

  8. Anna

this is 1 of my favorite ride hope its not going no where

  9. James

We love the WDW laugh floor. So fun. My dad was “that guy!”

  10. Julie

Omg! My kids love this ride. It is always our first stop and the off to Disney Jr. Dance party. I hope it’s not for too long! 😩

  11. CJ

Hey it’s indefinite that every ride, or attraction, needs to close down from routine maintenance …. Monsters Inc will be open again eventually.

Team Disney Anaheim needs to just move all of the Pixar based rides at Disneyland over to DCA, then rename that Hollywood section as Pixar Land (and take that name all the way to the Pier).

I miss Aladdin at the Hyperion, I don’t think Frozen works there as a live show …. but I think a certain Pixar Film would.

Favourite DCA memories? When Tron Legacy promotion had Flynn ‘s Arcade + the nightly elecTRONica dancing and music.

  12. Ms

We love the ride because after we made a reservation, it broke down a lot and gave us a free pass to any ride we wanted

  13. Actualy

    *Disney California Adventure
    Maintenance is normal…None story 😏

  14. The fact they made a monsters inc ride and not an yzma ride, tells that they didn’t think about the longevity of the ride.

  15. Alfie

The Monsters Inc ride at Tokyo Disneyland is interactive (like Buzz Lightyear and Toy Story rides) and soooo much better. I think maybe (hoping) they will turn it into that version? My son loves this ride. Both versions.

  16. David

What if, I stead of “hanging” on a door, it is you open your closet door to see the MI scare floor and someone, in a panic, hits the “Big Red Button” and that is the set up for riding the doors.

  17. Liz

If you didn’t personally hear it from Disney. Then Don’t. Believe. It.

  18. The Monsters Inc. ride is closed indefinitely for a month? Oh dear

  19. Em J

It would be really cool if they do plan on changing the ride to make it the Ratitouille ride.
