    “What movie is this?”

Looks like The Empire Strikes Back.

  2. Parks aren’t packed according to Disney app wait times! My son was just there and said he seen it busier 3 years ago! Said they were able to ride all they wanted! But don’t like Star Wars so they didn’t go to that park!

Yes, we were evacuated from the dino ride in Animal Kingdom. Had to get off the jeep with a ladder. We have multiple rides stop in three middle of the ride too.

It is the responsibility of the Guest to think clearly and calmly, in any situation. Don’t go and act like Children and blame the Castmembers. Ultimately you are responsible for yourself and your Children. I have participated in a ride evacuation. On Space Mountain. The other Guests took responsibility for themselves and their Children

Wow .. nice language… Whether you know where the exits are or not, if the cast is telling you to go one way and then the other it is causing uneasiness amongst the guests. Cast should be loud but not screaming in a panic kind of voice.

So true .just because one sees an exit sign doesn’t mean you can go that particular direction in an emergency
You expect leadership from an employee at least someone with a radio.

Was just there two weeks ago. We were evacuated on Rise of the resistance and toy story mania. Both broke down during the ride. Everyone was calm. Cast members were great. They do request no video be taken.

Okay, to all who are saying things like “I have been evacuated” was your ride on fire? I would think the possibility of flames and smoke might panic a few people.

I wasn’t evacuated from a ride, but we experienced staff acting similar in February during the fireworks show at MK. We had staff with light sticks screaming at us to go one way and we would go that way and another staff member would be screaming at us to go the other way. I ended up separated from my husband and 10yr old. I was herded into a small roped off area with people crushed together, I couldn’t move and I asked the cast member if I could leave the area and she said no.. and I had a panic attack and told her that she could take me somewhere or she was going to have to call an ambulance shortly.. she took me to a bathroom in tomorrow land and I called my husband and he came to me.. it was horrible. All the cast members were screaming giving different directions and then when we were in the bathroom the cast member said I was being dramatic and took her away from her real job and if she got fired she would track me down. Whatever lady.. if I end up in the hospital with such a high heart rate I pass out I’m coming for you.

this is shocking!!! I cant believe she said that to you!!

I had a bad experience with a cast member saying something i could not believe too!

I’ve been evacuated from rides before and all was handled calmly & efficiently.

We’ve been going to WDW since 1973 and only had bad service from 1 single cast member in all my years going to WDW. I know WDW directs cast members to always be happy but let’s be real, we are not always happy and some people can make it danged difficult to be anything more than cordial at best. The experience I had with 1 cast member did go out of bounds; enough so that it warranted addressing. I got her name and went to Guest Services and made a formal complaint NOT SOCIAL MEDIA! WDW followed back up with me a few days later thanking me for notifying them and that the cast member would no longer have interaction with the public at the parks; what that meant exactly I do not know but I felt confident that by bringing it to their attention in the proper manner that it was handled.

My family was evacuated from the Thunder Mountain ride but the experience was not too bad. The cast members were very professional and took care of everyone until maintenance and fire dept arrived to secure the ride. They have excellent engineers at WDW so they have fail safes in place to help avoid disasters. Hundreds of thousands of people ride these rides and there are bound to be incidents once in awhile. I agree with those who have said watch after your children and try to be understanding. Some of the cast members are very young so give them some grace. Agreed about the training and preparation though. It’s extremely important for the safety of all cast members and visitors.

Used to work in New Orleans Square/Critter Country in Disneyland. We were trained on how to direct guests out of a fire and how to evacuate QUICKLY in the event of an emergency. It sounds like maybe WDW doesn’t know where their fire exits are….

        Chill out, stop being rude.

Wasn’t evacuated but had the Haunted mansion break down was stuck in place for over 20 minutes…employees were awesome checking on each individual on the ride to make sure there was no panic.

During 911 Twin Towers, the management decided every guest should leave, and all the casts members in all the departments were prepared, and instructed the guests.
We had online training every few months, and resources we could check on the computer, of course incase we forgot.
But in later years, some cast members did their online training at home, where many people had their family members do the computer stuff.
So, you get what u paid for, a lax system, and people very unprepared and unpredictable.

Get a life! There are people living in war torn counties, people dealing with starvation and homelessness. So, save your little complaints of thinking you might be in danger someone who wants to listen.

    1. Dawn

Umm… You are on a Disney “information” site (I use that term loosely to say the least), it has nothing to do with World events or dangers. So if they were afraid it’s because they are not good in a high stress situation, which many are not, they can complain all they want. You really don’t have to read it or listen.

  12. I’ve been part of a couple of evacuations. Once was on the old Great Movie Ride in the Indiana Jones scene. Not a problem. Once on Space Mountain in the queue. That was pretty cool because they turned the work lights on. I’ve been going to WDW since ‘82, and only once have I ever seen a CM get frazzled. She didn’t go off on anyone but she did burst into tears after being yelled at by a guest, and she just turned and ran off. Another CM swooped in to try to settle the guest down. Man. What a thankless part of the job.

Non story, i was evacuated, no one was screaming or yelling. Returned later and Hando animatronic was covered.

  14. Kris

Last week was there and spent 20+ minutes stuck at the top of the Expedition Everest roller coaster. Then they came and got us and we walked down from the top of the mountain. Where they gave us a small water and a LL pass that didn’t work for the popular rides.

  15. Linda

    Wow girl!! The mouth

  16. Mason

I’m an epileptic and I had a seizure on Pirates of the Caribbean so I got evacuated off it. Yes it sucked but I got to see the backstage of the Magic Kingdom where I learned The Haunted Mansion stretched all the way to It’s a Small A World.

  17. JoAnn Harris

We’ve be evacuated off 2 rides. First ride was spaceship earth, then people movers at walt Disney World. We have also been evaluated off of haunted mansion in Disneyland but we werent in the sit down cars yet.

  18. Voice of reason

Disney trains their cast well in evacuations. Including specialized classes and refreshers. However, the literal process for fire excavations is to point the guest towards exits and everyone gets themselves out, instead of what you’re expect during a ride breakdown when cast walks with you to the exits. Chances are this guest was not following exit paths and signs and was told to turn around.

  19. Joeguy

We were evacuated from haunted mansion but not before they packed us in like sardines. The ride kept breaking down and they kept pushing people in until everyone was uncomfortably close. If an emergency would have happened in sure someone would have been hurt. I had more room in the front row of a concert. I don’t know how you can put so many people in one room and it not be a fire code violation.

  20. Guessing no one will go near yours so you hate kids. You are a lowlife that will die of a drug overdose or kinky and alone. Regarding the employees who needs them if they can’t act professional in an emergency. Disney has become a second rate ghetto park.
