Saying this is near Disneyland is like saying I almost died from a shark attack while driving down the freeway 10 miles from the ocean. Slow day for Disney news I guess.
I experienced my first earthquake ever while at Disneyland while standing in line while waiting in line to meet the princesses. We heard a loud rumbling that sounded like a subway was under us. Then the shaking started for I don’t remember how long, 10 seconds maybe? We asked a cast member if that was was an earthquake to which she replied, “First, one?” They shut everything down. My husband and son were in Honey, I Shrunk the Audience at the time. The didn’t feel a thing and were completely confused when they got outside and saw the chaos.
Yep…. we can always tell when someone hasn’t been in a quake before. LOL, Unless it’s at least a 4.0 most don’t even realize it happened. I have lived in So Cal my entire life and they are just something that happens. Most only last 10 – 20 seconds, on rare occasion they will go 30 – 60 seconds…. still rather quakes than tornadoes or hurricanes.
If you’re from CA, you wouldn’t or didn’t feel a 3.6. I got evacuated from Star Tours one time due to a small earthquake. It was more annoying than anything.
What a ridicules article! 3.6 at 3:41 AM, 36 miles from Newport Beach which would put about 58 miles from Disneyland. Oh, but let’s sell some discount tickets!

Surprised more people don’t call you out on this BS, Newport Beach is a 30 minute drive from Disney.
