I haven’t been to Universal Studio’s Hollywood since 1979 but we’re planning a trip soon. Since that OTHER park down there decided to shove things down our throat we have abandoned it forever. We HAVE been to Universal Orlando 4 times in the last 3 years and plan on retiring near there in the next year.
I’ve kept up with the growth & changes at Universal Studio’s, Hollywood and it’s still a good deal for families and young people without children. While it’s not cheap, by any means, the vacation is attainable for almost all interested. We found that (at least in Orlando) staying on property is a great deal. Seeing the parking prices does give one pause however; I suggest putting that daily parking cost towards a hotel room and taking transportation instead.
If you think about it, the hotels we’ve stayed at in Boston, Philadelphia and New York have ALL been charging at least $50 a day for parking while staying there for at least 10 years.
