Yes all of this! Please bring back all of these rides. But also maybe implement newer action movies. I miss the old Universal. Oh! And bring back the Nickelodeon stuff!
Unfortunately probably not ever gonna happen. I’ve heard from techs and other employees that it was a nightmare to maintain. Same with River Adventure. Wouldn’t be surprised if that gets either refurbished or removed entirely in the next few years.
Bring back Jaws but in a 3D ride as with Kong as theirs so many easy ways to make them like how Hana-Barbera ride was to make them family friendly while being indoors to get out of the heat but also have stationary seating for those who get motion sick easily. Simple and fun that anyone can have even those in wheelchairs with no increases in maintenance crews. You also wouldn’t have to worry about wait times as that theater held a lot of people in those motion seats and stationary seating along with handicap rows
I was going to say, I sure don’t remember a boat attraction at Universal Studios Hollywood, but that shark has been part of the tram tour for at least two decades worth of my memories. Anything too much before that and the memories start getting fuzzier, so I’m actually curious when it might have been part of this older attraction. Most everything I’m reading mentioned by other folks strikes me as part of what I’m used to experiencing on Universal Hollywood’s tram tour (disasters, king Kong, etc).
Sadly I’ve yet to have the opportunity to visit the Orlando version, so I can’t directly compare to anyone’s experiences here. I sure wish I could’ve seen what y’all are mentioning so I could know for sure! It’s kind of the case when you live on one side of the country… you tend to only see one of the parks. Now I’m more in the middle so perhaps one day.
So, they had a Jaws boat ride, we still have Jaws on the tram. Our newer King Kong on the tram, is a separate attraction in Florida, you are on a truck and drive through some caves but it’s the same film. They even have a F&F that is on a truck but still the same film as on the tram tour here.
Jaws, one of the greatest thrill rides that ever existed! True it was a nightmare to maintain, BUT with the technology that has developed since then, it would make the attraction much easier to maintain and they could fix issues that the original had, technology that wasnt available in the 90s. It definately would be a nig investment but I also believe that it would bring more people in to see the attraction. Big risk brings even bigger rewards.
I was one of the original employee of Universal Studio Florida. I truly enjoyed ALL of the original rides. I would brag to family and friends when we would be in the studio about each ride and they would joke about me being the USF awesome Tour Guide for the Year but I was a cook in the employee grill.
Please bring back Jaws, Back to the Future, Ghost Busters, and Hanna Barbera ride. Universal was such a happy place then . It was a happier place then Disney back then. It just felt free to let loose there.
Please bring back Jaws it was amazing and could be even better with 30 years of new technology. Because of Disney deciding to go woke, we now only have Universal annual passes.
Jaws DOES NOT fit in the Classic Universal Monsters section. That is the original monster movies that Universal was famous for way back – Dracula, Frankenstein, the Mummy, the Creature from the Black Lagoon, etc.
My hubby and I were just commenting on how much better “Twister” was than “Fast and Furious!” I also got to be an volunteer actor in the Earthquake scene years ago. I was told by spectators that I was the most convincing with my screaming and thrashing on the escalator. Nowadays, I’d be embarrassing my 16 yo with that performance. I’m so glad we got to experience them all (20 years ago I think!)
I love the twister I wish they still had that there we went last year and we’re going back next month would love to have Jaws come back that was one of my favorites when I was young twister the Jurassic Park ride those would all be great to bring back
Yes! I loved this ride and I’d be thrilled seeing it return updated with all the available tech we have these days! I am positive that the original idea for how the ride was going to be is achievable now
Jaws hits ite 50th birthday in 2025 so it would make sense to bring back the attraction plus Jaws is more iconic than Harry Potter etc.Its the first summer blockbuster and as its made by Universal they owe the fans to bring this ride back plus get the Orca boat back aswell .Jaws the 1975 attraction would be huge .Yes bring Jaws back please.
Please bring Jaws back! One of my favorite rides in the park. Going next week and will miss the ride. Progress is great, but remember what many of your older folks enjoy!!! Not a fan of Harry Potter
I myself and my family would love to see the jaws ride come back bride come back I drove up the last weekend that it was opened My wife and 2 boys and we road it about 25 times plus kept the red white and blue necklaces they were giving out
Jaws was a original classic ride and should be brought back, as well as ” back to the future”. These films will be enjoyed by countless generations to come, why not allow the younger customers to enjoy these throw back classics. Us older folks would enjoy them to.
Today’s t2ch compared to the 90s has evolved just as we have. The only thing to stand still has been 5he blockbusters of the past. Universal Disney all of them are this way! They only think if what’s new not WHAT THE PEOPLE WANT. I personally have only been to USF but that was even 15 years ago. But to remember that what was there to what’s not is very sad. Younger kids including some from my Gen. (33) have no respect for a classic that made today’s movies or today’s parks!! It’s about money it’s about who’s got the bigger….ego…. whatever it is it’s stupid and needs to be looked at cause obviously the people want n differently and aren’t we the main focus!!
Why? Their old attractions were so terribly dates.
I went to Universal last year after a 17 year absence, and I was blown away with the upgraded changes. Isle of adventures was the place to go back in 2004. Now that park looks so dated, and universal studios is top notch.
Replace Simpsons with back to the future, much better than watching basically a cartoon episode. Jaws would be nice, they have the space. King Kong ride, Kong frontation, original (but with modern technology) would be good too. Those rides just need updates to be good again.
Three iconic films: Jaws, ET and Back to the Future- Universal Studios began with these at the theme parks and the rides delivered as well as the movies! Rides can be updated based on their original themes and that’s what made Universal Studios so iconic and DIFFERENT from their predecessor(s). The theme of the day for many parks is to stay current, which can be done while not eliminating the icons. I remember the Jaws ride in Orlando experienced mechanical failures that were advertised more than others but with technology being what it is now I think many old issues could be addressed in a new (“current”) way. Any or all of these three rides would be welcomed back by so many! Sometimes when things change the magic is lost…
I started going to Univeral Orlando many years ago when they first opened. Their theme was “You Ride the Movies”. It seems that, that concept has changed. I too, miss Jaws, Back to the Future, and the original King Kong ride. The Terminator show is gone, and so many other shows. I would visit the park four to five times a year and it was always my spot to celebrate my birthday with family and friends. I get with times things have to change and improve, but it’s just not worth my time to visit.

Totally agree. Jaws, Kongfrontation, and Back to the future was a lot better rides than Fast and Furious, Skull Island and Simpsons.
Kat
Fast & Furious did not replace Jaws. Diagon Alley did. F&F replaced Earthquake/Disaster
Barney
God no,jaws was horrible just like the jurassic park ride
Rachel
Back to the future!!!! Get rid of that terrible Simpsons ride and bring back Back to the Future!!! We have to bump Biff and bring him back to 1985!!

Best family rides are jaws and King Kong. I miss them would love to see them back and going

I enjoyed the Twister ‘experience’ as well. All of the excitement of storm-chasing with none of the actual risks.

The new Kong Skull Island is far superior to the original ride.
Jaws and Back to the Future completely outdated.
