So far, Obi-Wan is Obi-Wanting. Saying it doesn’t suck is not exactly praise. Dry, shallow and flat are appropriate words to describe the characterizations dominated by excellent costume-and-CGI.

Obi-Wan is not a sci-fi meal and surely not a banquet from the Star Wars palette. Obi-Wan is more like Star Wars flavored Galactic Bubble Mint toothpaste of which, ironically, I still have some of complete with Obi-Wan on the side of the tube.

Those who wrote, directed and produced Obi-Wan should probably go back to making commercials for bath products and children’s clothing.

No. We don’t “feel like” it breaks canon. We know it does because it’s painfully obvious.
This asshats excuses are nothing more than that. This interview just proves that Disney doesn’t give a rat’s backside about Star Wars. It’s nothing more than content for Disney Plus so they’ll vomit it out as quickly as they can. Continuity and canon?? There’s no time to worry about that. Plus, they’d have to hire competent writers who do more than check boxes on irrelevant lists. That’s obviously not on the Disney agenda…

  3. These continuity errors have caused some annoyance form my complete enjoyment of the show. Still I look forward to new episodes, be saddened to complete the season and anticipate season two. The only things that might make my enjoyment increase is a slower pace with cut in and fade outs of panoramic vistas.

What a surprise, when people who don’t know a goddamn thing about a series get brought on to write a story within the universe, it sucks. Who knew?
Honestly, Disney Wars is such fast food, trash storytelling, I’m going through all of Legends just to remember what quality Star Wars stories look like.

I enjoy seeing “the old gang” together again. However this isn’t Obi-Wan, it has him in it but it doesn’t feel like it’s about him.

Story is unfortunately subpar, acting is hit or miss. Reva seems like a cool character, but the actress herself is ruining it.

And Leia, what’s the point? It’s supposed to be about Kenobi and Luke. It’s just ridiculous.

Firstly, we do have have some of the prequels in Kenobi. In the first episode there’s an entire recap made up of footage from those films (largely episode 3). Second, Qui-Gon Jinn is very much a part of the series as whenever we see Obi-Wan/Ben Kenobi meditating he often asks for guidance or inquiries if his Master is there. Qui-Gon Jinn was his master, therefore he is speaking to Qui-Gon seeking him and his wisdom. So, I wouldn’t be surprised if Qui-Gon appears as a force ghost later in the series. Which would be fantastic!
