You REALLY want to be able to declare this show is a failure, don’t you? This is precisely how good stories end up bogged down with constant, unnecessary fanservice, because of ridiculous caterwauling like this. One minute you feel like the series “betrayed” and “divided” fans by “ruining” an iconic moment just because Duel of the Fates wasn’t played… and now this? Gripes like this are why a movie like Solo —which could have been excellent— wasted so much time showing us the all-important dice or where Han got his blaster or why his last name is Solo. The series was NOT calling for a reference to Ahsoka. NOT playing Duel of the Fates doesn’t ruin Kenobi’s fight with Vader either. If it DOES ruin it for you, then you really can’t be satisfied because that scene was incredible. It’s true: no one hates Star Wars more than Star Wars fans…

Also, had they read that novel or watched clone wars or rebels they would know that Bail doesn’t work that way. He wouldn’t tell Obi-Wan about Ahsoka any more than he told (he didn’t) Ahsoka about Yoda or Obi-Wan being alive. He only revealed that information to Mon-Mothma at the end of Rogue One before, sadly, returning to Alderaan where he would shortly be killed by the newly operational Death Star.

Losing Bail Organa was a HUGE blow to the fledgling rebellion, and IMO a key component of failure of the New Republic.
