To be fair, the Ariel model in the little mermaid is creepy even when it works right. I can’t put my finger on it, maybe it is the eye movements, or maybe the stylized model that doesn’t capture her amazing presence.
I love the Little Mermaid, but they have to redo the Ariel (and prince Eric) models to make them capture the soul of the cartoon better.

The eyes have it
All the eyes on that ride are off, even when working right. I think they were working right when I saw them.
