Not surprised. I ordered prime rib and was brought a pan fried piece of meat. When questioned the waiter said that’s how they do it in Canada. I followed with not tipping is how we do it in America.
Did anyone actually read the article? The first line of the review is literally “Last week my party of 8 had lunch at Cinderellas Royal Table.” Which is in a completely different park and is quite well known for its lackluster food. ITM is looking to get sued with crap like this.
I mean when you are talking a table ordering alcohol you can’t even break down the per meal cost. If there were 3 adults and 3 drinks each that’s easily $150-200 right there.
Exactly! The mold happened at Cinderella’s Table I. The Magic Kingdom, not Le Celliwr at EPCOT. I mean, it shouldn’t happen anywhere, but at least report accurately!
We went to Disney World (epcot, magic kingdom, and Hollywood) in April. I have a kid who wants to be a chef and another who wants to be an astronaut. As a result, we were particularly excited about Epcot.
While we enjoyed most things about the trip, my whole family was disappointed by the food in nearly every part of Disney, from stale doughnuts and churos, to overcooked and inedible crepes to a veggie burger that was served still partially frozen.
Notable exceptions: we found good breakfast in the star wars area, and had an excellent dinner at the Jungle Navigation Co.
Other than that, my kids will tell you the food was the worst part of the trip and honestly, With the prices we paid for that food, it shouldn’t have been.
The food has always been subpar and expensive. It’s a given. What’s new. Even when the Magic was still there. It’s like complaining you got rained on for 20 minutes then the heat was 110 degrees. Welcome to Florida. Nothing new to see here. Have a Magical Day.
I’ve been to this restaurant numerous times and always look forward to it — but our last trip in January my meal was overall a disappointment. The apps were great (poutine of course) but the bar was super limited and my $65 steak was extremely fatty and I couldn’t eat most of it. My wife’s steak was great so that was the saving grace. Given the prices we are going to skip next time at Disney.
Apparently editing by this site is non existent. The article is made out to be about Le Cellier in Epcot’s Canadian Pavillion. The actual “meal” complaint is about a meal at Cinderella’s Royal Table. Completely different park guys.

Honestly, an automated script could “write” these articles. 99% is copy pasted, either from their library of blurbs on different Disney parks, restaurants, or attractions. The other 1% is copy pasted from Reddit or some other forum. Sad that they can’t even be bothered to copy and paste the right assets.
It was a comment from Reddit. The Original post was about Le Cellier. A comment within that post was where this article came from. Confusing title though.

When Disney made that lunch, they broke the mold.

In Canada you’re supposed to serve grapes with vinegar and mayonnaise.
Jason
Fair enough but the moldy grapes and cheese were at Cinderella’s Castle in the Magic Kingdom.

Why does the review say Cinderellas Royal Table (which is gross and overpriced) but the article references Le Cellier?
Stuart Piedmann
Cinderella and Canada both start with C and end with A. Same thing.
ERIK
One and the same then.

Because Luke Dammonn can’t read.

Food is a major Disney disappointment.

Been to Le Cellier on numerous occasions and NEVER had a problem. There’s a reason why it’s a difficult reservation to get
