    The entire website is a nightmare. I had issues booking ADR for our November 2021 trip and again this May. There’s 4 of us. Besides ADR the site has messed up adding people to parties and reservations, and even the app has changed our LL times more than once. For the conglomerate that is Disney they really need to up their game for the traffic hitting their site daily. And give us more than 60 days for ADR while we’re at it!

      The app for Genie+ and ILL is awful about offering one time then giving another once you get to the point of booking it.

        I had a ‘reservation for Epcot last week. We were in the area doing other things, so we secured a one day, one park ticket. A family member is well versed in the “Disney Way” so she told me that because I wasn’t staying on property, I could only purchase my Geni the day of, beginning at 7 am. I figure, easy, I get up 6:45, I had the app, pulled up the section and at 7 am promptly, I begin the purchase. At first, I was able to get through to the credit card payment page, then got an error, my “session” timed out, HUH? so I tried again and again, these times only getting to the enter information part. So, I keep trying, it’s now 7:45 and we are heading out for breakfast then to the park. Family members suggested forget it and stop at the customer service booth on the way in. So we are waiting in line, meanwhile, now all the pass’ are gone for the “good” rides. This cast member asks what he can do, I showed him my multiple attempts to get the pass’ per the app, he sees that there’s problems and actually bypassed the system to accommodate us. Anyway, the additional 75.00 wasn’t cost effective for us, as we only used in on one ride. Don’t think we are going back, to expensive and to many added fees

  2. At the opening of reservations for Hoop de Doo Revue, I tried to get a reservation for all 9 nights at each of 3 seatings for an upcoming trip. Nothing was available, which was hard to believe that all reservations went that fast. I tried to call but the wait time said 3 hours! The system is overwhelmed and needs to be updated or go back to 120 days out for reservations.

      It’s entirely possible given how limited seating is and that travel agents use a separate site to book reservations that Hoop De Doo was booked that quickly. TAs also book several reservations at once and much more quickly than a regular guest can.

    Chapek needs to hire back everyone he laid off in customer service. He’s been running on a skeleton crew all along – not due to labor shortage, but due to him wanting to maximize profit and his bonus. He also needs to increase the hourly wages. They’re outrageously low for a multibillion dollar corp.

    For all the advanced technology Disney puts into its movies, attractions, light shows etc…they sure do suck for web applications.

  5. It’s been about 6 years since I went to WDW. After reading all the problems I don’t know if I will go back. I NEVER made a dining reservation. I got in the Cinderella breakfast at the castle by calling the night before I wanted to go. I got in the Wolfgang Puck by walking in. I don’t what day I will want to eat where. I just see if I can get in somewhere. That might just be the best and fun way. Call dining any night you are at WDW and ask what do you have open for tonight. If you are nice maybe they can find something. Just go with it and have fun .

    We’ve been dealing with their app for the past 60 days trying to book things. Disney tells you one thing and does another. It’s been a nightmare. I swore ten years ago I’d never go back! If it wasn’t for my grandkids that would be true. After this trip, I’m done!! Disney is one big expensive disaster! All their technology and their app sucks. Everything is about $$$$.

    The entire site was glitching and lagging like crazy that day. Was trying up update hotel res and had to log in repeatedly plus it was so incredibly slow. Switched from safari to chrome which was slightly better but they definitely need to upgrade the website to accommodate the increased traffic they’ve been experiencing.

    This problem has been happening for a while, ever since the pandemic. It’s frustrating because even when you reach out for answers, all they can say is to keep trying.
