Honestly, while there is a chance that the delay might be for political reasons, I personally believe it’s not because of politics. Hot take but hear me out. Disney’s employees should have time to move especially when trying to find the house they want which is understandable and that takes time. On top of that construction of the campus needs to take its, time. After all you wouldn’t want a brand new defective building and a poor foundation. Lastly there’s also the subject about the ongoing inflation and the state of the economy, if Disney makes a small mistake it could cost them especially with how much money they’ve lost recently. I personally do believe they’ll still make the campus a reality because Florida is a business friendly state even Disney themselves admitted that. Again knowing Disney there’s always a catch but this is my take on it. Regardless I think we can all agree that Bob Cheapskate HAS to step down as CEO.

Well Disney tell so many lies and are morally corrupt, I believe it is politically motivated. I’m sure the 3 year delay for building works is a factor but Disney has made so many blunders and mostly come from the extremely poor management of Bob Chapek. Their shares are a an all time low, so please don’t anyone tell me he is doing a good job.

He is as is this dreadful board lacklustre and brain-dead. Please replace them all and start with the Bob’s.

stockholder, former cast member here – Disney thumbs its nose at anything traditional. It has completely COMPLETELY lost its way. I continue to hold onto stock to vote against the current regime. I don’t care if the stock price slide continues money is NOT the most important thing in life.

I bet the construction is taking longer than expected because the contractors fear Disney won’t pay them if all this crap takes effect next year. So yes, politics still playing a role.

Thank god. I hope it gets canceled. That’s a few thousand less unwanted socialists voting in Florida. Let them fly in from Commiefornia and pay for a hotel when they want to vandalize something in the parks.

      Excellent point

Florida should just take over Disney Word. Remove all the woke stuff by taking over the entire park.

Florida couldn’t “just take over” the parks. Most they could do is dissolve the district. Even if Disney said ok it’s all yours now they’d be stuck with billions in Disney debts and no right to operate the park cause the characters and rides are all copyrighted.

Seems to me they are afraid of Desantis. With good reason keep your “woke” in California.
