My family had just finished a ride and it started pouring rain. They threw some ponchos at us and threw us out into the rain. Told us the park was closing and we needed to leave. They wouldn’t even give us time to put them on. What was the point of the ponchos????
We were trying to watch the fireworks. Security kept telling us to move on because we couldn’t stand and watch at the side of the walkway. We weren’t blocking the walkway. We kept getting told to move forward. We would stop and try to watch and again told to move forward. We went all the way to the front entrance. There was no where else to Go but out. We stopped so we could watch what was left of the show. Security told us to move or we would be thrown out of the park. They had roped areas to watch the show but everyone was already shoulder to shoulder. We were under a tree off the walkway Security was screaming at us and threatened to call the police. We finally just left. I will never go back again I sent an email to Disney but never got a reply.
If your talking about Magic Kingdom where they have a pathway setup behind the mainstreet shops in the service ally area then yes, that is a walking only not a stand and watch the fireworks area. We were in that same situation but for us it spit us out near the firestation at the start of main street. We could still stop and watch at that point before exiting. Obviouslly it sounds like you were not listening to the cast members and your perception of them “screaming” at you is probably not on point. You were in an area that you were not allowed to stop and watch, yet you tried to stop and watch.
You probably thought you were special because “well I just want to watch the fireworks” yet decided to stop in a walkway instead of getting into a marked off viewing area instead. Look around to see where everyone else other than you are standing and go there rather than claiming victim status over being told to move on.
YOU think you were not blocking the walk way. No one who is blocking a walkway ever thinks they are doing it but if they are telling you to move, then guess what? They aren’t doing it just to be mean. Why didn’t you stand in the designated viewing areas if you wanted to watch the fireworks. And you must have been a bit less than cooperative if they had to offer to call Orange County police. That doesn’t happen to innocent family members just watching fireworks where they should be. Sorry not buying it.
I made the mistake of buying the after hours Christmas tickets for my family. It was terribly over booked. Also cast members kept screaming in our faces to leave park. Then we kept showing our arm bands that we had paid to be there. We are a Latino family so I took it that we were pointed out to be screamed at. I guess they were thinking a Latino family could have possibly been able to pay the inflated after hours price to be there.
Why because white people are so privileged, they cannot listen to anyone who might have a different life. You do know black, yellow and brown people are racially profiled every single second of the day right?? Your brain lost any credibility when you choose to ignore racism.
I don’t think it was a race thing. I’m an older white female and they did the same thing to my family. It was to the point that we felt like we were supposed to walk everywhere holding our arms up so they could see our wrists! It definitely made the night less “magical.” We had multiple cast members yell at us that the park was closed. I’m sorry it also happened to you and you had the added stress of wondering if race was involved. It’s hard to have a good time when you keep having to prove that you paid to be there.
We were staying at Port Orleans Riverside for 2 weeks. 2 bad bad weeks. We were at the pool not near 10p.m. and there were other families with their kids. A security guard came out and started yelling that if everyone didn’t shut up everyone was getting kicked out. No one was really loud it was kids playing in a pool. 2 of the worst weeks ever!!!

Humm….
Be respectful of cast members. They have families and lives outside of Disney and want to go home after work just like everyone else.

Why is it I can never see any of the videos you include in your articles?

You whole argument loses any credibility when you bring out the race card.

Anthony
Yellow people? Excuse me, but as an Asian American I find that extremely rude and borderline racist.
JeF
Not at WDW they aren’t! Ever.
Too many different nationalities from everywhere. I call BS and inferiority complex.

I have be discriminated against hundreds of times at Disney world and I am white. The company doesn’t like “us white people” apparently.
