Why do you keep calling everything controversial or problematic? there is nothing controversial here, please stop trying to stir the pot.

It’s the only way their 5 readers will click on anything. Or if 1 person on Reddit gets offended.

        So…which are you??

        1. Kevin

LOL! Indeed, Pam. Was wondering the same.

‘Pocahontas’ may not be historically accurate…but it’s Disney’s version they aren’t going to be as brutal as the truth was. Also, the Pocahontas scene in ‘Fantasmic!’ isn’t daring, it isn’t controversial, it’s a bunch of dancers and acrobats having a sword fight and doing some pretty impressive acrobatics with Pocahontas suddenly appearing in on the cliff at the top and then moves on to the next scene. Stop cancelling things in case one person gets offended, one person will be offended by every single thing in the world, we can’t tread on eggshells for the sake of the minority

Agreed. There was some good action in that Pocahontas scene. Not all people (kids especially) are into costumed characters and princesses. Some love action stuff. Leave it alone.

    2. Gigi

      Agreed! Stop the nonsense

The beautiful Disney magic is dwindling and I am convinced that one day it will be gone. Get rid of the executives that continue to change and give into the sissies, the woke, the evil of this world. Walt’s dream is dying ….. breaks my heart.

Agree and Disney World prices still go up on tickets ,,food and everything else. Housing..rent and food is sky high now so soon nobody will be able to even go to Disney .They need to also stay out of politics and treat all people fair not just one group of they will only be a memory like other theme parks around the county that for years started off big and then nothing

What are those theme parks that started off big and then nothing? Universal is still around, Dollywood and Hershey are still around, Knotts is still around. Disney on both coasts are so busy its sickening. I am a magic key holder in SoCal and there’s never a slow day. You are right about the prices, I paid $14 bucks for a cheeseburger using mobile ordering. Parking is a tiring $30 per visit. Restaurants reservations are always booked.
        These Parks are killing it.

That scene needs to be removed. The movie was a bomb in the box office and so many other characters you could use. No one likes John Smith anyway. Yes the Disney version. The music and movie is great but didn’t care for this in the show.

  6. Mason

I’ve hated that movie anyways. Since it is full of historical inaccuracies.
    1. Pocahontas was 10 or 11
2.She met John Smith when her brother captured John Smith months after the British landed.
    3.There was no romance
    4. Pocahontas married Kocoum in 1610
5.Saving John Smith is just a myth.
6.Smith left Virginia and returned to England because of a gunpowder wound
7.John Ratcliffe was not a villain he was leader of Jamestown and searched for gold because that was their mission. Ratcliffe was killed by Chief Powhatan in late 1609 because he was begging for food.
