So… She tripped over a cord?

    1. Astoria

Yep and busted her knee and is suing. Even though the hotel is not even operated by Disney it’s on their property and is run my Marriott.

When I was younger my family and I were boarding the big boat that used to be in adventure land and my leg fell through the landing because the boat wasn’t docked properly.

        1. Marvin

So this is now about you?

  3. Janet

Typical liability law suit note she is also suing the company doing the work. They should be responsible. Would love surveillance on her after it happened

How was frivolous lawsuits has TFG tried now?

    2. CalledIt

Meanwhile your culture leader has tried more frivolous lawsuits then any human being on the planet. He also says he will sue then ant person in history but rarely does he follow thru. Why? Because the word “discovery” makes him crap his orange fat old butt.

Well she did have to have knee surgery, she can’t really fake needing knee surgery. Given the fact that it’s all probably very well video documented…. They should be able to watch the video and see what happened and why.

    1. DSS

While that’s true, there is no telling whether she needed knee surgery prior to the fall.

  5. Lori

This is not a Disney hotel, and while that is mentioned, you refer to them as Disney this and Disney that, seemingly to make people think they are. Cheap shots all the way!

    1. Rob

      Agreed
If they reported the name of the real property owner and the contractor it would not make news.. would love to see the video ….this lady could also be a klutz

  6. James

Why is this news? Hotel guests trip and fall at hotels every day. More Disney hate from DeSantis Lackies on this website. What a joke!

    1. Amanda

Absolutely!! Glad someone is paying attention.

        Amanda Hugginkiss.

30k is not very much as lawsuits go.

Ok someone looking for something for free. That’s the only thing someone dies Disney about so they think they can get free tickets why do you think women wear those little tops to the parks. So they can get a free tshirt shirt. This world has gone completely insane with all this bull crap .

  8. Holly

I can understand how this could happen. While staying at a Disney resort a few months ago, maintenance was power washing the stairs with cords and water all over. No caution signage. Accident waiting to happen.

  9. Jhon

biased report looking more like a medical report, it is clear The intention to write down and devalue the Disney complex. I won’t waste any more time reading these things here

    1. DSS

To be fair, this was written based on the complaint filed by the injured. That’s the only information that they have, so it is going to be slanted. The point of a complaint filed in court isn’t to tell both sides of the story.

There are many tripping hazards at Disney. I fell a couple of weeks ago at Disney Springs due to an unmarked step in the dark. Really banged up my elbow and is still bruised and sore. I however wouldn’t sue someone because I wasn’t paying close enough attention. People really need to stop suing every time something happens. People need to take some personal responsibility and realize that things happen.

She’s suing for an excess of $30k in medical bills. The hotel attorneys will settle because it will be cheaper than litigation. She’s suing the property. I can only assume “property” would be the hotel and not Disney. Disney has nothing to do with the Dolphin Hotel, other than it is within Disney’s curtilage.

Typical slip and fall lawsuit. The condition was so obvious and evident that the owner should have seen it and fixed it, but not so obvious that the person who fell could see it.

  13. Kevin

What ever happened to paying attention to where you are going?

  14. Marvin

They should call every registered guest at the time of the incident and ask them if they tripped on the cord too.
Maybe she should cut back on the gin.

  15. Carolyn

People should look where they walk and be careful. They should not assume there will not be anything on the floor or ground that will not trip or make them fall. I am sorry the lady was hurt but I do not thing there should be a lawsuit.
