Yep, us old timers remember the one-drop version of the ride. It is so much better now.

I rode it back then only to say I had been on EVERY ride at the WDW resort in Florida. I still can say that, but sadly know I will not ride Tron. I am not a thrill ride person and I prefer experiences more than terrifying thrills. I preferred the single drop because you didn’t really know when you would actually drop. My youngest son rode it about 10 years ago and was about 5 years old, barely tall enough to ride with my brother-in-law, and LOVED it so much they repeatedly got in line (dead season) over 7 times in a row to ride. LOL, now he won’t even look at it.

This is about the Tower of Terror in WDW. It still exists there. Frankly, I love Guardians better. Tot had gotten super stale.

The one drop was the best drop. It would go up all the way and then down all the way. The ride was very scary and very short. 2nd version was ok with multiple shorter drops but was always the same. The 3rd version is unpredictable and great. Just wish they would add a full drop.

The original one drop was far far better. I used to ride it every trip. Was one if my favorites. But I don’t bother with it now with all the up and down nonsense. It’s just not worth the wait anymore.

“According to reports?” Guys, it wasn’t that long ago. It’s on Wikipedia, for goodness’s sake.

The one drop was real. Indeed, the cables pulled the elevator down faster than gravity. It was harrowing.

I loved it in the past! I even enjoyed sitting in the seat with basically a loose seatbelt on…that has changed, too

Is it just me or with the constant pop-up ads and screen refreshes your article moves more than Tower of Terror ever did!

It’s my absolute favorite! I remember taking my senior citizen mother there 25 years ago and still have the photo you can buy. Disney at it’s very best!!!
