And, do I get to call Liu out for the fact that “All right” is grammatically TWO words?

    1. T.J. M

No, not at all because that way of spelling it has been widely accepted at this point.

It kinda makes sense like if you put a sentence threw google translate into mandarin then converted it back to English the funny thing I’m they probably paid a few thousand dollars to get that line in mandarin with language coaching and the rest. I don’t think it’s racist though would you rather they didn’t have that scene

Yes, I would rather they didn’t have the scene than have them half-ass it that way. Whether you agree it’s racist or not, it’s INCREDIBLY LAZY. It doesn’t take THAT much effort to learn how to properly pronounce two lines properly. And it’s worse if they didn’t even bother to make sure the grammar was correct before handing off the lines.

It’s insulting to do that to viewers, and insulting to do that to the language. Just don’t do it if you’re not going to do it right, period.

Lol….I’m floored that this is even discussed. However, I’ve stranger. People just have to whine about something these days.

Let me guess: you’re a white American dude…

      Your privilege is showing, sweetie.

That’s a racist comment. It goes both ways, sweetie.

Yep, isn’t it ironic. Calling someone a racist by…making a racist comment. Though this is really worse. This isn’t even making assumptions about someone based on who they are, because VLM doesn’t even have the slightest idea what kind of person Kevin even is.

Oh, we’ve ALL figured out what kind of person Kevin is.
