WHY would anyone put their small 4 year old child on a ride like that anyway!? Especially in light of the tragedy in Orlando?

I agree plus he shouldn’t even been allowed on that ride shame on the people running them rides not checking people they should be held accountable for this also glad the young boy is ok

      Your absolutely on point….

If you look into it you would know it was a kids ride.

They should do away with drop rides and fast rides

I’m with Sandra: a 4 year old child has no business being on any kind of free fall ride, unless it’s only 4 feet high.

Either the ride pictured is incorrect or the description is incorrect. The picture is not of a “drop tower”, it’s a carnival swing ride. It goes up, it spins, it comes gently down. It’s a kiddie ride that has been around for decades. The child has autism and the parents did what, just let him go to the ride, put himself on and said great? I would walk my child to the seat and put him in myself. Yes the operator is supposed to check all the seats but there is some personal responsibility in everything. The operator was likely a teen or twenty something used to kids that know to buckle themselves in and the versions of this I’ve seen the seats hang on chains that the 2 at the front of the seat have a metal bar connecting them that has to be lifted to get in and gravity immediately pulls it back down. The bar is then clipped to a chain connected to the seat going between your legs. If your child is special needs then maybe you as a parent should tend to those special needs or inform the operator of them. Yes the operator is at fault but so are the parents. The information and tone of this article is all wrong.
