We just finished a week at WDW. We used rider switch a number of times because we have a 5 year old. It worked pretty great, 2 of us got in line (stand by) and then the others with the little one went to do something else. Once the first party got off the ride, the other went through the lightning lane. We didn’t purchase any of the genie+ or LL and we did every ride we wanted to and even a few twice that were worth the wait. I think that it’s going to be just a matter of time before Disney catches on the the rider swap, LL work around though..?
Disneyland CM here. We were told to actually ask to use all the LL passes first and then apply a Rider Switch (which is up to 3 at a time unless there are special circumstances). So if I’m giving out 3 Rider Switch passes, I’m gonna need to see that those 3 have a LL reservation for my attraction and have them scanned first. So not really a reliable “hack”.
