If I recall correctly, it was back when Wishes was the night show. I was standing next to a Mom and Dad and their 4yro daughter. We were talking about past visits to the park and they had been several times, unlike me, I have been going since 1971. As the time was coming up for the show to start, I offered to hold the daughter so they could film her watching! (Ahh the days before covid) We we’re standing near the bridge to Tomorrowland and as the lights dimmed, I said, WATCH FOR TINKERBELL!! The parents said WHAT? I pointed to the top spire and SHOUTED, HERE SHE COMES!! With that, Tink did her nightly fly over and started the fireworks to much applause and cheering! The little girl was screaming in delight as were her parents! When the show was over the parents with tears in their eyes said THANK YOU SO MUCH! IN ALL OUR VISITS, WE HAD NEVER SEEN THAT, OR KNEW ABOUT IT! WE HAVE IT ON VIDEO AND WILL CHERISH IT AND THE LOOK OF MAGIC ON OUR DAUGHTERS FACE! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Up in heaven there is a man who is very pleased with you. His name is Walt.

This message was intended for Doug 🤔♥

Love your story, I too have been there many times and never knew about Tinkerbell.. Just imagine all the little things that make us happy that we don’t know about. I personally liked your story. With the world in its state of ugliness these stories make one happy and offer that there are still people out there that care. Thanks for sharing your memory!

Apparently, it’s not especially cute when a 40 year old (me) joyfully belts it out. It inspires the glares of teens…

Love this! Thanks you for sharing!

That was nice of you. I loved reading your experience.

Wow you should really have chosen a better title because I thought some had happened to a guys hotdogs. But no its something stupid about a lame Disney movie about some terrible ethnicity, and the songs not even good just goes to show how peoples taste is music is if they say thats a good song. So very disappointing about this..

I’m DISGUSTED THAT someone could take the experience of a 4/5yr old and make it into something THAT was AWESOME and turn it ugly, just like the person who made their whatever comment etc… It supposed to be about a positive memory. Why do people ALWAYS take the GOOD of EXPERIENCES and turn them into something else. The “COMMENTOR” make THEMSELVES be NASTY, UGLY, Def IGNORANT… To make lil kids feel bad for making someone HAPPY. What’s this WORLD coming to??? Hell, THATs IT…

    2. TMCK

a terrible ethnicity? sounds like you need some pixie dust in your life.

    3. Maos

Who hurt you? I feel sorry for your sad soul who felt the need to belittle an ethnicity and mock other people’s joys.

I’m glad the parenting failure was amusing. When I was growing up I either ate everything or I got spanked and didn’t get whatever special thing I was promised. Please stop having kids if you can’t punish them effectively.

Adorable story, but can we talk about the horrible title of this article? Honestly if they would’ve just made it sound like the positive story it is, I would’ve been 100x more eager to read this.

      THIS!!

  8. Marc

How about the video ? I mean telling me the little girl sang hilariously is not worth the read without sharing video fore to also enjoy hearing it

Look if you’re going to put your business in a bun and try to trick someone into thinking it’s a hotdog then you deserve to get bitten when the fireworks go off.

Thanks for the comments truly blessed for all that could afford to watch the Disney shows in person Unfortunately my children and my children’s children are still awaiting the black princess it’s been so many years can we get one black African-American Princess Walt Disney please.

    1. Sara

Have you seen Princess and the Frog? Tiana is literally an African-American princess that has existed for quite a few years now. It’s a great movie.

  12. Cathy

    Amen! Great movie, btw!
