ANYTHING that a child is exposed to should remain neutral. LGBTQXYZ…none of that should be presented to children in any way, shape or form. If you have a child and have exposed them to that stuff because that’s how you choose to live and they decide they want to be something other than what God intended, then you have failed as a parent or guardian and never should have procreated…which, in itself, is a contradiction, if you are anything other than straight then why and how did you get knocked up or knock up someone else? Really makes no sense. It’s really all just mental illness and you know that by living that way it’s wrong. But, that’s your choice and you will answer for it in the end. But, for now, satan has you feeling good about it and feeling that you’re doing nothing wrong and that everyone must know and see and accept it. But, to normal people you are just weird, or freaks. No one is born gay, no one is born trans, just like no one is born racist, all that is learned and it’s the choice you’ve made for yourself. No one else needs see it nor needs your opinion on how you think we should live. Pixar should be ashamed of themselves for putting that stuff in a kids movie.

    1. Frank

Aaaaaaaaand scene. I am sure at least two people read what you wrote. Including me.

    2. alicia

FYI, truly “neutral” wouldn’t include your precious religion either. BTW, which one is it? A choice or mental illness? You can’t even decide what your bigoted opinion is based on. Oh, that’s right. A book. That you’ve all MISINTERPRETED. LMAO. You realize there have been gay people forever, all over the world, right? Who would CHOOSE to be gay when that could mean ostracization, unequal rights, or even death? Have you even wondered that? Or do you just assume it’s a mental illness or, IDK, satan or something? Even then, again, how would it be a CHOICE? Sounds like the people that shouldn’t procreate are judgemental people like you. You have zero critical thinking skills. PS: Disney is changing because the world is changing. Sorry that frightens you and makes you lash out at others. Disney is just becoming more inclusive. They made these changes because of bigots like you. Soon, they won’t care about your feelings. Did you know HALF of the people in some of the most popular religions (Catholic and Muslim, etc) accept gay marriage? You’re a dying breed. You probably shouldn’t support this inclusive company anymore. You need to boycott Disney. You’re just surrounded by heathens there, and that’s no place for children, now is it?

      1. AmericanbyGod

You are obviously the “L” in the acronym. So you know, Muslims would stone to death or behead people for being homosexual. At least in America you are free to live that lifestyle. And, I assume the “book” you’re talking about is the Bible. You may need a refresher on the fact that God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah for the very same wickedness. But that’s all fiction to you non-believers. The rainbow was once a beautiful thing as a message, or promise, from God that he would not flood the Earth again to wash away wickedness. But, even that has been twisted into something vile. You’re right, though, that is no place for children…if that stuff can’t be kept private. Families really don’t want to see those displays of affection. Keep it private. I am by no means a saint, nor is anyone else, or a Bible thumper, but I do know the difference between right and wrong and feel that children should be raised knowing the difference, no matter how the adults in their lives choose to live. When they are old enough to make their own choices then they can decide for themselves how they want to live. By the way, Let’s go Brandon. LOL.

Kind of interesting as you are obviously professing to be a Christian and you end your comment with a big F@#$ You Biden.

This is what the world sees, the big hypocrisy.

We are told to Love your neighbor as yourself. There are plenty of movies that I don’t agree with. It is simple, choose not to watch them. Also don’t forget, Disney is a FOR PROFIT corporation. If you feel they go against what you believe in, you can decide to not contribute to their income by not buying their products or visiting their parks.

          1. AmericanbyGod

David, come on man, I gave it the clean version. Besides, creepy Joe is not my neighbor.
Go back and watch old Scooby cartoons, or Popeye, or Flintstones, etc.; none of them had anything suggestive that could be interpreted as inappropriate from any viewers. They were all successful and not offensive to anyone. Why did we get away from that, why do there have to be agendas and messages, why can’t they keep children’s entertainment simple and innocent? That’s the problem.

    3. Ali

      I agree completely.

      1. Ali

I agree completely with American by God.

    4. Sean

God is fictional. About as real as Zeus throwing lightning bolts.

      1. David

So says you! I wonder what you will be thinking when you face him some day… Oh, that’s right. “Wow, did I ever mess up!”

    5. MXCTRL

Fully “neutral” would include ALL leanings or none. Showing a hetero teen while not showing a non-hetero teen is not “neutral.” Make up your mind.

      1. Lefty Throckmorton

This person has no mind of their own to make up that isn’t one full of Christofascist nonsense.

    6. John Smith

The “way of the world”… according to who again? You?!? Perhaps it is but it sure isn’t to me! The more filth that is put out by the likes of Pixar and Disney, the less popular they will be and will ultimately be rejected by those that still retain values and reject that which is evil.

    7. Lefty Throckmorton

Boy, your homophobia is completely on display, and more than justifies what the LGBT community has expressed as reported in this article. You’re lucky that this isn’t Facebook’s commenting system being used, somebody could have you reported and you could lose your job.

    8. Lwbiuu

Well by your own logic choosing a faith is a choice and not neutral so we shouldn’t be subjected to your opinions… Just saying!

  2. Beth

Why can’t kids just be allowed to be innocent?Kids can do without the overt gay inclusion (as can I). Life is challenging enough that lots of kids can relate to “losing it” at school, social challenges, puberty and meeting adult expectations in a brain and body that is still under developed. This film has agenda enough right there. If you make it a film about all that other junk you lose relatability and hundreds of thousands of viewers. I don’t want to see it and I don’t want to encourage it. They will see enough of it at school. We don’t need to add to that. All people are worthy of respect at all times but children don’t need to see people making sexual choices beyond their scope. The target audience is not middle schoolers navigating puberty and neurodiversity. They are children. I’m not going to tell children those choices or any other sexual choices are okie dokie for them. Agree or not I don’t care and you will not change my mind.

    1. AmericanbyGod

Well said. I totally agree. It is so hard to express common sense opinions to the sensitive leftists without hurting their feelings. But, they will fire back without any credible evidence to explain their lifestyle. Just twisted reasons for why they want to live like that everyone should comply. That’s socialist thinking.

    2. Mark

      Wholeheartedly agreed.

    3. A Thiel

I totally agree. Why does every movie Disney/ Pixar has to have a message. I am so tired of it. Disney movies should allow children to dream, good dreams! They have enough of reality everyday. No one is allowing them to be children. If your adult and you want to live this type of lifestyle that is fine, but stop trying to brainwash children that this is the way it is supposed to be.

      1. BirdWatcher

Yeah, I don’t think ANY movie should have a message! A movie should be nothing more than a sequence of animated scenes and I don’t want to come away with it thinking about anything at all! NO MESSAGES! NO THEMES! NO COMPELLING STORYTELLING!

  3. ed

So have they added bestiality yet is that what the + means?

  4. Kevin

Oh BOO HOO. Cry me a river. We get it already. LGBTXYZABCLMNOP people exist. You are NOT the majority of the world’s population so stop acting like you think you are and everyone should bow down to you.

  5. Please stop referring to the FL bill as “don’t say gay”. Read the bill as it’s written. It does not say gay anywhere. It is a bill that prohibits discussion of sexual topics or any type being taught in public schools for children pre-k through 3rd grade. Children that young do not have the mental capacity to understand sexual topics. Children who want to discuss sex at age 5 likely have been the victim of sex abuse. Police investigators in my department don’t even interview children that young- there are specialists who do that. We shouldn’t be allowing any adult other than specially trained persons to speak to our kids that young about sex.

    1. Ralph Malph

Careful there Annie, you’re exercising common sense – you’re going to hurt their wittle feewings. Heads will explode after the hissyfits generate too much steam!

      1. Lefty Throckmorton

Hey Ralph the Moron, discussing LGBT topics in school IS common sense, and it’s done in more than a few jurisdictions; said common sense is something that you lack.

  6. Joe S

Why does the LBGTQ community feel the need to shove their sexuality down everyone’s throat and we are all supposed to accept it? When I go to a movie and see same sex sexual expression it’s a real turn off. Ruins most of the movie. I understand it exists and some people are that way but as a heterosexual male, I don’t want to see it. If the LGBTQ community wants those kind of movies, go make them separately from straight movies so you can go enjoy them. Keep that out of mainstream movies and definitely keep it out of our children’s school.

    1. BirdWatcher

Seeing a gay couple in a movie TOTALLY ruins your experience of the movie? Imagine if gay people felt the same way about seeing a straight couple in a movie. Which they don’t, because they are okay with seeing people different from them in movies. Imagine being so fragile that seeing people different from you makes you this upset.

What a snowflake, grow a backbone coullion

      1. King Bob

Yes, that which is repulsive and evil DOES ruin the experience for us normal folks… if you had any sense and values, you’d understand that! Facepalm city!!!

    2. Lefty Throckmorton

Joe The Jerk, get a life, get a clue, and get over yourself and your straight white butthurt about having LGBT content in a movie being ‘shoved’ in your face; it isn’t, and it’s high time that said content be included in entertainment. Bigots like you can pound sand.

  7. Ed

Enough of this gay crap being crammed down our throats in every sitcom, movie and commercial. Why do these people feel the need to stand out and feel they need special treatment. That’s the problem today. People want to be ‘inclusive’, but then want their special parades and all of that garbage when it’s beneficial to them. Why does anyone need to know your sexual orientation?? If you don’t want to be treated differently, then STFU!!!

  8. Serinthia

Just a quick note to the article’s author. “Raya and the Last dragon” had a theatrical release. It was the first one I saw in theaters after the lockdown. Maybe you’re thinking of “Luca”?

  9. RoC

Why does.01% of the population feel that they should be represented as 50%? Stop making social statements in kids movies.

    1. L

      Exactly

  10. L

Disney has absolutely NO BUSINESS shoving this agenda in our children’s faces. It is wrong in every way. If an individual feels they are gay/lesbian as they get older that is their decision. It is not ok to push those choices on innocent minds that don’t know any better, or make it to where parents have to explain what all that is to preschoolers. Keep your private sexual choices PRIVATE! And FIRE BOB CHAPEK ALREADY!

    1. Lavendar

A few things. First, I don’t understand why people are upset with this movie. It is a coming of age movie. Do you honestly don’t think that 13 yo girls act like this. Hell I am surprised that Mei didn’t go crazier on her mother who treated her the way she did.

If parents do not like the message from Disney/Pixar DO NOT WATCH THE MOVIE!!! GET RID OF DISNEY +. NO ONE IS FORCING YOU TO WATCH IT.

What sexual message did Disney/Pixar give to you? Is it shameful to discuss a girl getting her period? Would you rather have a situation like Carrie? Of course it is better to be ignorant

If you feel that Disney/Pixar are shoving gay/lesbians, etc. to children’s faces, explain to me why is it that it is okay to shove the following shows down people throats:
      Joe Millionaire
      The Bachelor
      90 Day Fiancé
      The Bachelorette
      Love at First Sight

95% the people on that show have sex. But I guess it is okay to have sex as long as it is heterosexual sex. Why is this okay?

Btw, I am not gay, I am straight. I just love the hypocrisy that folks have.

I really wish that people would say the following:

The movie was not good because it talked about a bad topic (mensuration) and the main character is Asian not white.

I love these comments everyone is basically saying to all you lgbtqwhatever is left to just chill!!
Do you lgbtq people even have kids that you birthed? You have no idea what it means to protect innocence. Let kids be kids! and I agree with majority of these comments stating that if they are talking about sexuality this young they’ve probably been sexually abused because this is true to most fam members and people I know to be gay. Also there’s no need for kids these ages to be shoved this kind of thinking yet I have a third grader and she still plays and brings with her, her teddy bear everywhere (shelliemae) so honestly no I’m not okay with all this pushing of homosexuality and lesbians and trans and whatnot. Because the goals I set for my kids are learn, first be a kid, play, have fun because years run out. You have the rest of your life to think about love. Just not yet and even my fifth grader is the same honestly they’re just kids they’re barely learning to tie shoes correctly don’t push this stuff down their throat just yet. They’re literally just kids

    1. Lavendar

Who is pushing this on kids? Do you realize that girls are having their periods earlier and earlier? I do not feel that Disney/Pixar is pushing gay/lesbian agenda on children. Do you have a problem with tv pushing straight people having sex with multiple people on the reality shows?

Is it possible that you could watch the movie before you let your kids do? I have a couple of co-workers whom I’ve asked to watch the movie before they let their kids watch it. I’ve also told them that I do not recommend the movie for anyone younger than 12 yo. Real parents make sure that what they watch is okay. Know what your child is watching. Be a parent.

Are you actually stating that your fifth grader cannot tie his/her shoe? Wow that’s sad.

  12. Teddy

I don’t think people generally have an issue with literature depicting homosexuality. The elephant in the room, is that LGBTQ+ is purposely being treat as if it’s not a doctrine by advocates, nonetheless it is one. Like all doctrines depicted in kids content, it’s going to get moderated, but since sexuality is at the core of LGBTQ+ values of course there’s going to be oppositions.

I like content tgat depicts real poeple but I’m against what’s being advocated here by LGBTQ+ members, expecting to have everyone else’s content support their beliefs is unrealistic. Hopefully in the future the members of LGBTQ+ community voice a more moderate stance.

  13. AmericanbyGod

GOD did not make people gay…satan did. And satan makes you feel good and right about it. The fact it’s 2022, not 2021, is irrelevant. The longer this continues the more the wickedness grows. You should be happy that you have so much acceptance. It’s in everything and everywhere, like a cancer, as so many have mentioned in previous comments. No one really cares about your sexuality as long as it’s not displayed or pushed on any of us our our children. Disney, Pixar, or any other companies in the entertainment industries should ever put any kind of messages in their cartoons or kids live action movies that have anything to do with sexual situations.

  14. Lefty Throckmorton

No, ‘God’ didn’t make everybody LGBT (he doesn’t exist anyway), but LGBT people exist, and LGBT people deserve to able to see themselves in mainstream entertainment. You Christofascist bigots need to find something else to do with your lives other than following the ‘rules’ of a skygod and the fairytale book of said skygod that said rules come from.
