Just stick to the source material and leave out the PC crap.

      Agreed

I used to read the Fantastic 4 comics back in the late 60’s early 70’s and have seen all the Marvel movies featuring this group of 4 superhero’s. Not one of the movies were great. The last reboot was the worse (IMO).
With the technology today, in film making, and excellent actors, why then has the F4, which was one of the best selling comics prior failed to create an excellent marvel movie? A new group of actors needs to be assembled, and first appear in another Marvel movie, if the MCU owns the rights to this character group. The writers need to come up with a GREAT story line, and excellent actors, and create the Marvel superhero excitement!

Well I hope Disney/marvel doesn’t try to inject their terrible diversity, woke agenda in the FF. I’m sure they won’t loose any profits if they use an all white cast.
And they don’t have to reboot anything really. They can introduce them into the MCU already having their powers. They were else where when Thanos struck or they do show up in Dr Strange, along with the x men

Almost everyone hates the forced woke agenda. This is the litmus test for the Post endgame Marvel MCU. So far, not so good, but we can hope here. When in doubt do exactly what Lee and Kirby did, and just trying to get it onto the big screen. They were promoting the progressive politics that ended up in the Black Panther movie in 1965. They are still ahead of their time! Cast just as they were, all white, and have Doctor Doom exactly as he was in the comics in the early years of the world’s greatest comic magazine, no modern update. George Lucas basically said Darth Vader is based on Doctor Doom…take him back! He should be scary as hell, the head of a country, and Reed’s old roommate… and copy the old Kirby designs on everything for God’s sake!

PS, the John Byrne story about them all being stuck in a false/dream life in Latveria would be a great idea…

I just read a story from Screenrant I think that said thay are going to bring back Finn Jones as Iron Fist as a joke and the make Colleen Wing the Iron Fist. Again. Since Iron Fist is one of my favorite characters this has irritated me to the point I am debating canceling Disney plus. Not that it would make a difference but I’m kinda done with this crap.

I got to admit that Roger Corman’s low budget FANTASTIC FOUR (1994) released via New Concorde is closer to the source material (The Fantastic Four / Fantastic Four Annual original Marvel Comics publication circa 1961 – 1971) than anything so far … yes it’s campy (because it’s low budget with practical special effects vs expensive CGI) …. but c’mon! How difficult is it to just follow the source material and don’t water it down with political correct nonsense (I go to the movies to escape from today’s rubbish!) –

    ‘4’ Heroes

    Mister Fantastic
    (Reed Richards)
    Invisible Woman
    (Susan Storm)
    Human Torch
    (Johnny Storm)
    Thing
    (Ben Grimm)

    Villains

    Doctor Doom
    (Victor Von Doom)
    Galactus
    (Devourer of Worlds)
    Ronan the Accuser
    (Supreme Accuser of the Kree)
    Annihilus
    (Lord of the Negative Zone)
    Kl’rt
    (The Super-Skrull)
    Diablo
    (Esteban Corazón de Ablo)

    Antiheroes

    Namor
    (The Sub-Mariner)
    Silver Surfer
    (The Galactic Herald)

    HQ

    Baxter Building
    Four Freedoms Plaza

Just follow the genius of Stan Lee and Jack Kirby (and please give both proper paid credit!) using the ‘Marvel Method’!

Johnny Storm is not black. Can Hollywood please stop trying to force in more “diversity?” There are already black superheroes, and if you want more, create more! You don’t have to “fire” the white human torch and “ignite” a black replacement. It really just feels like they are trying too hard.

If Disney and and Marvel want a “woke” FF, then let’s go all the way! Let’s have Sue Storm be a black transsexual! Let’s have Ben Grimm be a gay drag queen! And dating Johnny “Jenny” Storm, who is a bisexual climate activist hermorphodite! And let’s have Reed Richards be a priviledged white man who laments his reprehensible whiteness and earnestly wants to do all he can to rid the world of racism and that terrible American exceptionalism! Sound good everyone? ELCELSIOR!!!
