Hopefully this will be the much need overhaul to retrack and add onboard audio to the vehicles similar to what was done at Disneyland. The future opening of Tron will give them opportunity to do so

So agree, they need to copy the Disneyland model. It’s a much smoother ride and accommodates more passengers, I used to ride this over and over and I can’t any longer because it is so jerky.

Hopefully the refurb will happen after this month. We’re at the parks 3/27-4/1.

Isn’t that picture of Disneyland’s Space Mountain?

There is a real disconnect between park operations and Disney Management. Epcot is currently experiencing it’s 50th anniversary that will run into the second quarter of 2023. One would expect that all venue upgrades and construction would have been completed by 10/1/21 in preparation for for the anniversary celebration. But no … Disney has decided to do new construction during the anniversary. Disney operations are becoming very discusting …

It is Magic Kingdom’s 50th Anniversary. Epcot was opened in 1982.

So, you’re ripping on management for pausing refurb efforts during the pandemic?
I mean, there’s things that could have used an update years ago, but a lot of the anniversary planning assuredly took a hit the last couple years.

Magic Kingdom is celebrating its 50th Which will be running through early 2023. Epcot will be turning 40 on October 1 this year.

Good!!!! Maybe it will not be such a back breaker after it is done!!

Exactly! I’ve been to Magic Kingdom the last 2 years and noticed that it is extremely jerky and is in a need of a refurbishment (or it’s just because I’m getting older). One other rollercoaster in a need of refurbishment is Rockin Rollercoaster. I had a headache for hours when I rode it last week.

100% understand and agree. I quit riding RR 3 years ago because of the headaches it causes

I am more concerned about the price increases. I don’t think I can afford to go anymore.

Are you referring to the prices of food and drink? If so, you can always bring your own. I do. My daughter teases me, however, we have a stroller for my granddaughter…I’m not paying over$5 for water or snacks.

Space Mountain needs a complete overhaul. With Tron coming, Space Mountain will seem unnecessary and even more archaic. Still doesn’t make sense to have 2 indoor rollercoasters beside each other, but Disney will keep Space Mountain for nostalgia reasons. Like a lot of other posters, the ride hurts my back due to being too jerky. I never ride it anymore.

  10. We havent had a chance to go to disney for 5 years 2.years ago we had to cancel. Its supposento be the 50th anniversary and I dont understand why they would start repairing things while in the 50th anniversary year. They had plenty of time while it was shutdown. Im hoping they can hurry the construction of mount everest in animal kingdom so we can ride it when we come in april 25th this year. Please dont repair anymore things until the anniversary is over. Its not easy to plan and save money to come from canada to florida. All prices to everything have increased makig things more difficult the place I love so much. ….disneyworld. Its always been a place to take my worries away so please dont spoil it. Thankyou
