I lost all the magic. 6 or so months ago you sent me a mailing offering us a Florida resident annual pass. Three weeks later, my wife and I made reservations in a Disney resort. We drove up, checked in and went to the Magic Kingdom to buy our annual passes. We were told sorry, we stopped selling them. So we spent over 500 dollars to buy 2 fla resident 4 day passes. I said to my wife, no more. We honeymooned there in 1975 stayed at the Golf Resort. We’ve gone 3 or 4 times a year with or without our children ever since. Never say never, but it will be a long time before Disney sees us again. Just dosen’t feel good anymore.

Stupid article! There are no massive benefits to AP now. This one thing certainly doesn’t qualify. Disney has lost the magic!

OMG. A Discount?? For 2 whole days??? Pinch me please. Can Disney be any more insulting to their guests?

      LOL Ikr?

The article was posted on 3/14 and the discount ends on 3/17?No matter, AP holders already get a 20% merchandise discount, this adds an additional 5% which is nice but certainly not “MASSIVE”. People with an AP and a Disney Visa card aren’t allowed to take both the AP discount and the Visa card discount together., the ability to do that would be closer to a massive discount.

The AP discount does not apply to ShopDisney purchases at any other time besides when they run these “special” promos. The 25% is only good on DW property.

        20% I meant to type.

How dare Disney treat minorities and LBGTQ people the same as everyone else! Oh the humanity! Your red hat must be on fire!

I am not a resident, but, the jest about perks and savings caught my attention. This article is a big pile of horse crap because there are no savings or perks at Disney anymore, for residents or out of state visitors. We’ve been coming to Disney once or twice a year since my kid was old enough for us all to enjoy it. First, as we all know and our complaints have done no good; previously, as part of our package we got three Fastpasses per person per day. That was a perk. Now, it’s what, $65 per person per day on top of the package that did not reduce in price just to get the Genie+/Lightning Lane. Second, as part of our previous package, resort parking was free. Now it’s an additional $25 per day. Those parking lots have long since been paid for, so why charge extra now? That was a perk. Third, we no longer have the option for a dining plan that when we bought as part of our package gave us a sense of some kind of savings. Now, if you eat at the resort or the parks you pay an exorbitant price for food out of pocket. On our trip last September the three of us went to Be Our Guest for lunch…lunch. No lunch menu, no kids menu, we all had to order off the dinner menu. Two adults, one child, plus tip was like $300. That is completely ludicrous and I still haven’t recovered from all the meals charged on my “Disney Visa.” Is Bob Paycheck Chapek not rich enough? He has ruined the magic for us and thousands of other families. He should be removed from his position and replaced by someone who cares. BTW, I am a shareholder in the Disney Company and vote against keeping him on the board every time.

You may wanna look at my comment below; it’s about the TRUE power of our wallets

Since NOBODY thinks emailing Disney will make a SUBATOMIC PARTICLE of difference………………is there ANYTHING………anything AT ALL that we can do to get Chapek out?

In the best case scenario, I guess all we can do is just bleed Disney dry of money until shareholders stop getting payed and realize that a whole new board is needed……..First Susan Arnold and THEN Chapek.

We ALL need to remember that Sue Arnold HOLDS THE STRINGS on Chapek, and Chapek holds the strings on Josh D’Amaro, so Arnold is the ABSOLUTE top. I therefore think that if Disney starts making major losses, shareholders might vote against ARNOLD and reinstate a better Chairman who can make more changes than ANY CEO.

    1. Susan Arnold is the first person in the Greed Centipede
    2. Followed by CEO Bob Chapek
    3. Followed by Josh D’Amaro (whom EVERYONE GIVES A PASS) for the decisions made in the park
    4. And then finally WE are at the back of that centipede

Only gutting Disney of all its money can truly wake shareholders UP and get them to take charge
