It is no longer a family vacation spot. It is now a local hangout for the Floridians who bought the inexpensive annual passes offered last year. The out-of-state vacationers were not offered the same inexpensive passes but were only offered a high price annual pass. Hence, Disney World is now a party atmosphere and not a family atmosphere.

Disney and all the other theme parks have a deal with Florida which guarantees their residents discounts in exchange for nice tax breaks and easier permits. It is what it is. Hence why they get discounts and they were offered lower tiers than the top annual pass. Lower tiers that are blocked out from the aforementioned dates… you know… like it clearly states in the article… the only way youre getting in during that busy week is by either paying gate prices or buying the top annual pass that was made available to everyone.
